My Breast Cancer story Part 2.
I was sent for another ultrasound directly at this hospital. I complained a lot to the woman who was conducting the ultrasound, saying that I felt the tumor had increased, it hurt, and I didn’t like this mass, etc. As a result, the report indicated that the ultrasound found that my tumor had increased and that several nodules that weren’t mentioned in previous ultrasounds were also detected. The report stated that the presence of multiple nodules decreases the likelihood of carcinoma (breast cancer), although this diagnosis remains possible. An MRI was recommended to assess the level of danger.
The MRI showed the following: multiple nodules in the left breast with irregular, somewhat lobulated edges that do not enhance with contrast on MRI, which may indicate central necrosis (meaning that the tissue inside the nodule is not receiving sufficient blood supply, leading to cell death, which can be a sign of a malignant tumor). This finding raised suspicion, and they sent me for a biopsy.
The biopsy indicated that it resembled mucinous carcinoma (most compatible with mucinous carcinoma), which gave me some hope that it was just a mistake—it only resembled it. They sent my biopsy to another pathology department, and when I went to my surgeon for the final results, hoping it was a mistake, I heard these words: “This is a big surprise for me Julia; I can’t believe it myself.”
Doctor, what can’t you believe? Doctor, tell me it’s a mistake. Unfortunately, Yulia, you have breast cancer.
Tears streamed down from my eyes like rain. I didn’t believe it—I couldn’t believe it for a long time. I begged him to say it was a mistake, that it was a mistake…
“Yulia, we need to decide quickly what you want to do,” he began explaining my options, but I couldn’t understand anything. All I could hear in my head was the noise: I have cancer, breast cancer. How do I go on living? What will happen to my children, to my loved ones? Read in the picture carousel.

I don’t think words could ever fully capture the depth of emotions I’m feeling right now. I honestly haven’t even had a chance to read every single one of your beautiful wishes yet, but I see them, I feel them, and I see each and every one of you. I’m sending so much warmth and love back to every person who took a moment to make my day brighter.

There is something incredibly special about celebrating another year of my life with all of you. You were here with me through the moments when life felt heavy and I cried, and now you are here sharing my joy and happiness.

Goodbye, 2025.
Thank you for everything❤️

You taught me to love life more deeply, to value myself, and to see people with new eyes, especially the rare ones, the sensitive ones, the ones who feel the world differently.
You taught me to love my body, to protect my time, and to find beauty in silence: peace, stillness, and solitude.
