Army Pride.

I honestly don’t even know how to describe these past 6 months. They’ve been challenging, wild, and rewarding. I didn’t know what the Army would be like. I was scared and uncertain, but slowly I realized that it’s a huge family. I’ve learned about courage and confidence. I’ve learned how to push through the hard days and celebrate all moments. Basic training and AIT have taught me discipline and have left me with memories and friends for a lifetime. Just like they say: basic is the most fun you would never do again. I can’t wait to see what the rest of my career holds #victorystartshere taken in Fort Jackson, South Carolina by @julia.yurrr

Being a Page was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. It taught me so much about the legislative process and deepened my value and love for politics. Truly an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life. by @julia.yurrr

Girls State: Junior Counselor Edition!!

Girls State will always hold a special place in my heart because it opened my eyes to something powerful; change starts with us. Being surrounded by so many strong, passionate, and intelligent young women reminded me that we are not too young, too small, or too quiet to make a difference. Our voices matter, not just someday, but right now. Serving as a JC taught me that leadership isn’t just about holding a title, it’s about using your voice with purpose, standing up for what you believe in, and encouraging others to do the same. I leave OKGS knowing that I have a responsibility to not only speak up, but to listen, to act, and to lead with heart and conviction. I’m so grateful for the experience, because it helped me realize that the world doesn’t change on its own, we change it, one brave step, one bold idea, one strong voice at a time. by @julia.yurrr
