With these cases we always try to look at it from all angles to ensure we are getting the temporary prosthesis as close to perfect as possible, so there isn’t any need for major changes when it comes to restoring the definitives.

The battle sometimes with digital is trying to obtain natural surface texture and separation. Lots of digital tooth moulds can end up looking flat and lifeless.

I’ve been working on a few different techniques to see if I can get this in the design stage, instead of doing it all with a hand piece at the finishing stage. Let me know what you think 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chrome GuidedSmile is what I do basically all day everyday but these cases take a whole team to bring them to life, from the CS team to the planners, designers & technicians who are manufacturing and then finishing them off!!

To see the results of giving someone their smile, confidence and ability to eat back, makes it all worth it!

When one design has been used for the wax up for implant planning and that plan has been approved by the clinician, we will always endeavour to ensure the temporary bridge follows that design so you know what you are using is what you’ve approved.
6 unit bridge on 3 implants, immediate placement and temporary bridge pick up.

Every time I do an initial work up for these AOX cases, I’m always trying to obtain all round contact for stability of the temporary bridges & shallow guidance for the excursive movements.

For this case I was also trying to correct where the natural dentition had drifted as well. FP1 positioning from the ridge is essential!

Looking at the smile creator, it can sometimes appear slightly off.
Here it looks like the patient will be showing more soft tissue when he grimaces then in his preop but this is down to how Exocad aligns and sections the photo. The top lip is generally cut away so it then exposes the set up slightly more.

These seem like small details but it’s the small details that matter 🙌🏼

Being able to get the foundation and beginning of the rehabilitation, as close to perfect as possible isn’t easy but is essential.
Getting this part right will help streamline the process and save you and the patient a lot of unnecessary appointments and obstacles.
