Dall’estate 2024 la mostra sta girando l’Italia, ospite di spazi ed eventi che l’hanno scelta come azione di solidarietà e vicinanza al popolo palestinese e come occasione di confronto e dialogo intorno ai temi dell’oppressione, della resistenza, della libertà, della giustizia e del ruolo di ognuno in questo.

Ad ogni esposizione abbiniamo una raccolta fondi e nel tempo abbiamo sostenuto varie associazioni che operano a Gaza:

It is part of the collective exhibiton “MANIFESTI PER GAZA” curated by Artivists for Palestine.

The exhibition has been touring Italy since summer 2024, and has been hosted by various locations and events as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people and to provide an opportunity for discussion and dialogue on topics such as oppression, resistance, freedom, justice and the role of each and every one of us in all of this.

Every exhibition is matched up with a fundraising activity. Up to now we have supported different organisations operating within Gaza:

Most true things are never understood by the world.

Peace and comfort to the divine beings our society casts outside of the circle of warmth, love, safety, during a holiday meant to celebrate those very things. Universe-wonders. You are the Magi. You are the Gift. You are perfect. We cannot see you yet, even as you stand before us. I am sorry.

Peace and shared grief to those who have stopped their participation in traditional violence but may feel alone, to those who tirelessly care in sanctuary, who witness in photojournalism, in global advocacy, and beyond, who see, stand in awe of, and serve these gentle beings our society oppresses, discards, and prefers not to see.

I want to tell you: your heart is alive. This is why it aches now. Thank you for not looking away. Nothing you do in your love for the animals is ever wasted.

There is more Christmas in the dark with you, among the trees and the stars, there is more light in the light we make together, than anywhere else on this planet.

Saying I love you is another way of saying “I want you to be free.”

Today we celebrate the rescued turkeys at @unityfarmsanctuary from 11-4, Sherborn MA. It’s one of my favorite days of the year, because we get to stand in the joy. The joy of sentient beings allowed to be who they are.

Turkeys are cross-species countercultural messengers. They ask us in their vulnerability and power—as mass violence is normalized: What are we going to do when face to face with their deep-as-the-universe starry eyes?

If we could choose, on our little patch of dirt, in a violent world, to help get someone free, wouldn’t we?

These are six illustrated rights from the UN Convention on the Rights of The Child that are on our mind. These rights are promises we have made to the children of the world to guarantee the things that are essential for them to live and grow. We have broken these promises. And the way that we are breaking them now, desecrating them, is stark, obvious, egregious, and an absolute violation of the sanctity of international law, of childhood, of life, of humanity. Thank you to each artist for conveying the right they chose with truth, beauty and love to inspire us to act, for the whole world to move.

@wildcountryfarmsanctuary has been doing such good work in this world for both human & animal rights, and today they *urgently* need assistance feeding their beloved rescued dogs, pigs, goats, mice and more in rural Texas.

They did a calculation that just $7 feeds 1 animal for 2 weeks. If you can give that: amazing! If you can give more, even MORE sweet bellies will be fed. ♥️♥️♥️

End the dehumanization of the Palestinian child.

This week those of us witnessing saw: their beloved bodies in pieces. In the air. Hands, feet, heads. Bodies without heads. Children on fire. Parts and pieces of children. Parts and pieces. Parts and pieces. By our weaponry and tax dollars.

In their new report, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics says 17,500+ children are dead, and Gaza is facing “the largest orphan crisis in modern history.”

Today— I’m out of body, toggling between paint, and images of children with their faces and limbs blown off, as the world continues to look away in denial. We are all being dehumanized by allowing this unspeakable violence we are paying for, to continue. And it continues because we allow it to, by total cultural avoidance.

When we accept a world that accepts genocide, no child is safe.

Every voice matters in this moment. Your spirit is here—NOT TO LOOK AWAY— but for revelation and creation of a better world. The children in the future are already asking each of us: “what did you do then?”

How will you answer now?

Interrupt your business as usual on this platform, use your reach, big or small. Write, draw, speak, protest, call your reps, boost posts, share, read, educate yourself, seek voices reporting from the ground. Please wake up faster. And speak.

Every child has the right to protection under international humanitarian law.

From UNCRC Article 38:
1. States Parties undertake to respect and to ensure respect for rules of international humanitarian law applicable to them in armed conflicts which are relevant to the child.
4. In accordance with their obligations under international humanitarian law to protect the civilian population in armed conflicts, States Parties shall take all feasible measures to ensure protection and care of children who are affected by an armed conflict.

Rumeysa Ozturk, a member of the kidlit community and a Muslim Storyteller, has been abducted by ICE. Many Story Sunbirds know Rumeysa and we are disturbed and enraged by her treatment. She is facing immediate deportation and we must stand for her NOW.
