@bates.molly will excitedly continue on at SB&A as sole principal/owner, carrying on the company’s forty-two year legacy.

Susan laid the groundwork for our industry, and to her I’m forever grateful. We’re both committed to honoring her legacy through this next chapter. My interest lies in building brands, along with narratives that would otherwise go untold and collaborating with peers and friends (like SB&A) to continue to make that possible! by @juliadukeco

We’re thrilled to be working with New York-based interior designer Christina Nielsen (@christinanielsendesign), whose Connecticut farmhouse project graces @houseandgardenuk site today. She filled the 1952 colonial with Swedish chairs, Moorish inlay, Uzbek ikat and English chintz, and let them play. It has her signature English approach to layering, and global mix, giving the home its own personal narrative.

We’ve long been fans of @emilyeng.interiors, and found the perfect match with our client @mousstudio’s Luna vase in her @brooklynshowhouse boudoir. The room reimagines Napoleon’s tented bedroom at Malmaison through a mix of neoclassical ornamentation, French modernism and Japanese influence. Congratulations to @emilyeng.interiors and everyone involved in bringing the showhouse to life!

For LA Design Weekend, client @brookperdigontextiles introduced a collection of 13 one-of-a-kind lamps that bring art, whimsy, and a wink of old Hollywood into the home.

Created by founder Brook Perdigon and studio director and illustrator Alexandra Cox, each piece pairs hand-drawn figures inspired by the films and personas of the 1950s and ’60s with hand-painted patterns and hand-thrown ceramic bases by a local Los Angeles ceramicist.

For this historic Brooklyn Heights brownstone, @the.brooklyn.studio fully rehabilitated and reimagined the rowhouse (their specialty!) for a young family who wanted a forever home that balances historical gravitas with warmth, comfort, and individuality.

The interiors bring together the warmth of an English country house with a distinctly Scandinavian sensibility. While undeniably elegant, nothing feels too precious and every finish was carefully chosen to stand up to daily life and age beautifully over time. It represents The Brooklyn Studio’s ethos that architecture and interior design are inseparable disciplines.

The project is now featured by @fredericmagazine. Thank you @dara_caponigro and @HudsonMoore, for the beautiful story.

We had the absolute pleasure of helping @antiquesgardensbham and their fabulous team document this anniversary year with the press. Two decades of celebration with so many noteworthy names, all with a mission to protect, nurture, and share the wonders of @bbgardens, helping ensure it continues to thrive for generations to come.

This year’s design vision embraced a richly layered world of decorative artistry inspired by romantic garden follies, hand-painted chinoiserie by @graciestudio, and timeless collected interiors.

As with anything it’s the people - Penney & Lauren, the co-chairs, honorees, dealers, speakers, community of designers, landscapers, florists and volunteers in Birmingham making this show so special!!

An exciting few weeks for our clients @marcphillipsrugs and @avram_rusu_studio, whose work was featured throughout this year’s Kips Bay Show House New York.

Marc Phillips rugs made their way into several of the house’s standout spaces, including Studio Armando Aguirre’s library featuring a custom jute and Peter Dunham & Associates bedroom, where an antique Khotan rug grounds the space with warmth and character.

Carrier and Company illuminated their ceiling with a custom Nymphaea chandelier installation by Avram Rusu Studio, featuring hand-blown glass discs layered in translucent and opaque colors.
