2026 is the year I’m embracing that I’m a chronically ill baddie and I need help🙏🥹💕

After two decades of searching for answers, I was recently diagnosed with two chronic inflammatory diseases. It’s been an emotional journey to arrive at the two diagnoses: stage 1-2 endometriosis and adenomyosis.

There is no cure for these two inflammatory conditions, however surgery to remove diseased tissue and lesions can relieve my debilitating symptoms. I’ve spent too many years being misdiagnosed, rupturing cysts, passing out from pain, missing up to 3 days of work every month not being unable to get out of bed, among other symptoms.

I’m not one to ask for help, but I recognize that healthcare in the U.S. isn’t set up to universally care for my needs and I can’t move forward in healing these painful diseases without asking for help from my community. One of the largest struggles in my healing journey is that endometriosis excision surgery isn’t covered by insurance. My surgery requires a $6,000 out of pocket surgeon fee plus anesthesia costs, the surgical suite and upkeeping my private insurance plan ($660/month).

Whether you have $5, $50, $500 dollars or can only offer thots and prayers, I welcome your support. My goal is to schedule surgery for October or November this year and start the road to recovery.

I underwent a pelvic MRI 🩻 a couple of months ago and while I’ve had a dozen ultrasounds and numerous CT scans of my pelvis for ruptured ovarian cysts and other symptoms, they’ve never proven endometriosis. The MRI results immediately confirmed what I’ve experienced for 2+ decades. It showed stage 1-2 endometriosis and adenomyosis with a cystic uterus. It explains why I’m in pain all the time🥲

Asking for help from my community feels challenging. I’m not one to ask for help, but in this case it’s a lifesaving measure. I can’t live with debilitating pain anymore 💔 I’m grateful for $5, $50 and your thots and prayers🫶 taken in Seattle, Washington by @juliajeanius
