“Getting baptized is an outward expression of what God has been doing internally”

I wanted to share what’s been going on internally with me the past year or so.
I struggled for a few years with what I believed in, even though I grew up going to church, I didn’t really have my own true relationship with Jesus but always believed in God. Those few years where I fell off my faith were the most lonely, depressing years of my life. I had absolutely no sense of direction and I was just lost trying to seek fulfillment from things and people that ended up leaving me more empty than I was before. In no way am I saying that since following Christ life has been perfect or gotten easier in the sense of obstacles that come your way, it’s still life and awful things happen every single day. We’re always working through something but the peace, love, and comfort I’ve found in the middle of the hardest seasons has been unimaginable. Every emotion I’ve felt or problem I’ve dealt with I’ve found answers and solutions to in the Bible. The more you seek the more you will find. Don’t allow people or past experiences with church to prevent you from forming a relationship with Jesus. I did that for a while too and if you’re looking for answers from another human you will be let down every single time. The only person who will never let you down or forsake you is JESUS. I’m so thankful words can’t even describe the feeling. And I’m always down to talk about Jesus if anyone has questions or just needs to vent. I can’t believe I got to experience all of this in just one day🥲 to say I’m thankful is an understatement. i genuinely am so grateful for everyone in my life; friends, family, the community I found through @trunorthchurch the list goes on and on. This year has been a rollercoaster with a lot of shifts but I couldn’t imagine going thru life with anyone else.
