Here I am on December 28, 2025, turning 40 on a remote Scottish island with the love of my life by my side. I am so grateful for all that I have and all the people who have supported and encouraged me on my journey so far. 2025 was the year it really clicked for me how precious all of this is, the whole thing. I grew and changed so much this year — I’m still comprehending the full extent. That kind of growth is only possible when you’re with the right person. So excited for @thecolbyday to make his feature directorial debut in collaboration with these two creative geniuses @timheidecker & @tatianamaslany — and thrilled to support him alongside @danielatbekerman @scythiafilms and my longtime colleague, producing partner, and dear friend @haleebernard. Somehow, it’s my birthday again. The past year has been perhaps the most profound period of growth and actualization I’ve ever experienced, and I’m so grateful. Thank you to all my dear friends who moved me, encouraged me, supported me, changed me. And @annaskahill: how could I ever have anticipated the depth of beauty and connection that was in store for us? “If I were to talk of you / how would anyone know / what the words meant?” I love you. ♥️ by @julian.directs
