New #CleverGirls podcast episode. @laurenottaviani is a PhD student (as a matter of fact, she has just handed in her PhD) in English literature at @kuleuven. She researches English and Irish women’s magazines from the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century. Lauren hails from @pennsylvaniagov, USA, and is as such the very first American guest on this podcast. Hurrah! We discuss her daily work, how she ended up in Belgium, inherently funny words in Dutch, Marie Antoinette, and - of course - dinosaurs. #CleverGirls #podcast

Aesthetically pleasing that all #Goonies biographies are the same size, even though they were released years apart and by different publishers. Looks great in the book cupboard. @cdogg22 @joshbrolin @kehuyquan taken in Antwerp, Belgium by @juliandebacker

A true survivor of the jungle called showbizz. We praten over haar nieuwe single 'Hier bij mij', haar meesterwerk 'Soldiers of Love', haar ouders, Claude François, Jimi Hendrix, platenfirma's, The Beatles versus The Stones, opgroeien in een harde mannenwereld, zestig jaar carrière, en veel meer.

James Tolkan (1931-2026) came to Belgium in February 2020, for #BrusselsComicCon. I had drawn this cartoon for him. He gave me a free autograph on my #BacktotheFuture MUSE #LaserDisc in return. Lovely man. Rest in peace. by @juliandebacker
