Black Legends: Songs that Shaped the Sound 2026
Halifax Public Library Tour 📚🎵🎤
.
These shows were so special to me because I got to share some of my favourite artist’s songs (and a few of my own☺️) and their stories, such as Whitney Housten and Michael Jackson, and it really was as fun as it sounds!
.
I’m proud of myself that I never gave up on my dreams. There were and are times where I wonder what am I doing?? 🫣In February alone I had 14 performances. With all that’s going on in the world today, I know I’m lucky, so damn lucky to be spending my days doing something I enjoy. So many people have said they left my concerts feeling uplifted, and that’s what live music is for, to connect us, to know we’re all in this together, to remind us beauty is everywhere, in the happiness and sadness and elation.
.
Art can feel silly at times, but I take it quite seriously my role to uplift the students and staff and grandmas and teenagers and tots and tourists and everyone who gives me 3 minutes of their to listen.

All the leaves are brown and the sky is gray.🍂

This was like a lullaby to me when I was a child. I had no idea until much later that maybe the person playing it was sad.

Painters need to paint, 🎨
Dancers need to dance, 💃
Writers need to write. ✍️

Sometimes I forget that.

The Reason, one of my favourite songs I ever wrote, with my dear friend Carl Jackson. Produced by Mike Smith.

One of my favourite ballads. ❤️
“At Last” is such a classic love song, but there’s something about the melody and lyrics together that creates this heavenly feeling.
.
It felt pretty special singing this song, in an intimate room of strangers and seeing how it affected people.
Great songs are such a gift. Sometimes you just need to let the music do its thing. ✨🎶

💕This has been the greatest privilege so far to be on full provincial tour, travelling to 13 different libraries 📚and communities in my beautiful province of Nova Scotia. I’m biased, but there really is no better place to be in the summer time. ⛵️🌊
.
We’ve made new friends, shared music and stories and it’s been just really uplifting. ☺️
.
Thank you for your kindness, to everyone who has hosted us so far. This week we’ll be in New Glasgow and then on to Sydney and Glace Bay. These are free family friendly shows where you will here songs you know and love, my new original songs and hopefully experience some music you never heard before.

You should know by now..

I had a lot of fun coming up with this one. And it definitely won’t be last time I perform this as I choreographed it to my original song Happy Birthday.. which is ironically a totally sad tune.
.
Come see me perform LIVE with my incredible band and dancers at Nova Multifest Tomorrow Night! Sat 25th 8pm - Original tunes and covers combine into the ultimate dance party sing a long!
