A return to Boston—and my first time as a game designer! Grateful and humbled to have run Tactics Memoriam at PAX East alongside so many brilliant storytellers at the Tavern. Grateful to have been part of a workshop that fostered advocating for yourself as a marginalized individual in creative fields. And always grateful to reunite with dear friends. by @juliciel_

Last year’s PAXU convention trip was a party. Talking, walking, riffing nonstop. I treasure it so.

This one was more intimate: Trekking out to a Filipino restaurant. Helping others write as a workshop guest. Chats, stories, and laughs around a campfire. Carrying around a game about Death I poured so much into making in my hands.

Thanks Philly. See you again soon. by @juliciel_

If you haven’t heard I’m officially a game designer! 120 pages and 26,000 words later the Beta version of TACTICS MEMORIAM is free to download with a Kickstarter for the full book well on its way!

A new Tabletop Game about changing the shape of the Afterlife with your blade, Tactics Memoriam is playable with just dice, a chess board, and the rules in its book.

Condemned to a Warrior’s Purgatory, take the book’s adventure prompts to have your own unique adventures in a sprawling and strange afterlife while allying with other lost souls to change this place.

The hugest thanks to @dmtta for layout designing my monstrous PDF into something beautiful and readable and peppering it with your illustrations. Thank you Fabian, Angie, and Button for bringing life to the characters in this world through your art. And thank you Jake for being inspired enough to create music for it!

It’s already a big undertaking and there’s even more coming soon. Stay tuned, play for free, and support if you’d like! by @juliciel_
