As I closed out my Old Testament reflections and turned the page, I wept.
Thousands of years of history. Prophets who remained faithful without seeing the promises fulfilled in their lifetime. A Holy God who promised a way back from the very beginning. And then…The silence was finally broken. The Messiah had come!
And here we are, 2000 years later, waiting for Christ to return.
And I find myself thinking, Lord Jesus, please come…but also…please wait until after this person I love decides to follow You with their whole heart.

Can these dry bones live? Sometimes the only honest answer is, “Lord, You know.”
Ezekiel reminds me that in God’s holiness He must judge sin. But that’s not the whole story. He desires mercy even as He promises a new heart and breathes life into what looks hopelessly dead.
