A tent is never just a tent. It’s a proposition—of shelter, yes, but also of skin. This one opens toward you like a torso at rest: wax-thin, porous, holding its shape only just. Like the body is too, is a kind of dwelling. How it folds in on itself, opens to others, withstands weather.

The tent as a way to mark the space the body leaves behind—warm, empty, waiting. The background won’t settle. It shifts, disturbs, suggests.

Her Wall, 2025.

This wall of antique women’s gloves is a monument to touch, care, and memory. Each glove tells a story of presence—of a hand that protected, worked, greeted, or held back. The glove once functioned as a ritual object in a patriarchal order, in which the female body was regulated by clothing and social conventions. Instead of symbolizing control, they now symbolize a gesture of resistance: a repetition, an ordering, a monument to female presence.

It all started with Nel.

There are forms that stick in your retina, like memories that you have not consciously chosen to keep. The tent is such a form: a temporary skin, a shelter for those on the move, for those who need to disappear for a while. In these works, the tent returns as an archetype, as a body, as a gesture of protection and revelation.

And that the tent — in all its simplicity — is perhaps one of the most radical forms of showing yourself: temporary, movable, soft.
