I’m honored to have been nominated for the @youthactionnsw NSW Emerging Youth Worker of the Year Award. Making the 8 hour bus trip to Dubbo was beyond worth it as I got to meet some truly inspiring social workers, counselors, and youth workers, all doing remarkable work in their communities.

You don’t do this line of work for accolades or money. You do it because you are passionate about seeing young people thrive. No one sees the late nights, the tears, the energy poured into advocating for young people but I see it and thank all the community workers (including teachers, social workers, caseworkers, lawyers and doctors) who invest in young lives, stand by them through the darkest times, and who celebrate their victories.

This work isn’t done alone, and so many deserve recognition. To Henry, Kalarnaa, Yasemin, Carolyn, Mike, Sarah, Lauren—I see your dedication, and I’m so grateful for all that you do. Thank you for the count who has always supported me despite the cost @alessandro.del.conte . And to my kids ! You make everything worth it ! Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological illness that currently has no cure. It takes away the ability to move, speak, and breathe—but never the spirit.

This show meant even more to us. Juliette, our social media manager, lost her father to MND. He lived and loved fiercely, even through the hardest days.
We walked in his honor—and for every life still touched by this disease.
