The creative process behind the MERTRA Japan Pop-Up flyer 🇯🇵

This project went through several different stages, ideas and versions before reaching its final direction. From exploring different visual approaches to refining the details and making adjustments along the way, every step was part of finding the right balance between the original concept, MERTRA’s identity and the vision for the Japan Pop-Up.

A lot of thought, research and experimentation went into this piece, and the process was just as important as the final result.

Big thank you to @aronwilliams_ and everyone at MERTRA for the opportunity, the patience throughout the process and the trust in my work. I really appreciate being able to collaborate with you guys and contribute to something special. More to come. ❤️

SYNA WORLD // CONCEPT: “SINNER” KARABINER (PROCESS & DESIGN)

This project breaks down the creative process behind the “Sinner” Karabiner, a metal accessory designed for Syna World. The core inspiration comes from the brand’s etymology—derived from “Sin”—bringing a symbolic weight to the brand’s streetwear hardware.

Sketch & Design Analysis:
The sketches showcase the exploration of the Syna “S” logo, which was anatomically adapted to function as a working karabiner. The defining detail is the horns integrated into the upper curve of the “S”, a direct nod to the brand’s visual identity.

Hardware: The final design features a polished metal body with a spring-gate system integrated into the lower part of the letter, maintaining the logo’s fluid shape.

Aesthetic: The piece sits between a utilitarian accessory and high-end jewelry, with rounded edges and a finish that highlights the embossed horns.

The result is a lifestyle piece that strengthens Syna’s visual identity through technical details, turning a basic item into a collector’s piece.

SYNA WORLD // ACCESSORIES CONCEPT: BELT COLLECTION

This belt collection was developed as a premium accessory exploration for Syna World. The visual inspiration stems from a crossover between two iconic aesthetics: the gothic, high-end detail of vintage Chrome Hearts belts and the bold, graphic energy of early 2000s Bape.

The goal was to translate Syna’s DNA into metal and leather. I focused on heavy, custom-molded buckles featuring the “S” logo, paired with embossed detailing and textures that nod to luxury jewelry and archival streetwear. These pieces are designed to be the statement of the fit, carrying the weight and durability of classic collector’s accessories.
