What a MARVELOUS thing GOD has done!! I never thought I would be standing in my present. One year ago, I was going through a years long battle with depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. I wanted to die but GOD… clearly had greater plans for me. I’m alive because there was and is more for me. I want to encourage anyone reading this, hold on just little longer 🙏🏾🙏🏾 God has a plan🥹🙌🏾

To my church family @officialnewziontemplechurch I love y’all fr! To my leaders, @brandonjacobssr and @ladyvivj thank you for the push into purpose and the work of God. I’m with y’all until the wheels fall off and then we will keep walking the rest of the way ❤️✊🏾. To my second home @nzt_indianapolis let’s work and turn INDY upside down for Jesus Christ!! 🔥🔥🙏🏾

Sincerely,
Associate Pastor, Elder Julius D. Freeman

Here are 3 essential takeaways from our latest episode with New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie:

1️⃣ Ask “how did this come to be?” before you trust something
Reliable journalists can say who they talked to, where the information came from, and what they do when they get something wrong. If you can’t find any discernible process behind a dramatic headline, be skeptical.

2️⃣ Be suspicious of anything that makes you feel a strong emotion
Be wary of ragebait. When you're emotionally grabbed by something you see take a step back and evaluate to see if the thing you're responding to is designed to elicit that response.

3️⃣ Experiment across forms
Jamelle takes inspiration from W.E.B Du Bois, who worked in prose, verse, and data visualization, and compares trying new mediums to Michael Jordan playing baseball: it can improve your main craft.

All glory to God! I feel INGNITED 🔥🔥🔥

For years I suffered trying to be what people expected me to be, while knowing I was called to be something different. I am still figuring out exactly what different looks like but I know I am closer than I have ever been.

Serving with my brothers and sisters in Christ at #ignite2026 was a reminder of why God kept me from ending my life. I would have missed all of this 🙌🏾 and we are at the BEGINNING!! 🤯 Experiences like this show me that no matter what, I will always land where God destined me to be… so why worry??? 🤷🏾‍♂️

P.s. I found what I prayed for 🙌🏾❤️‍🔥 by @julius.d.freeman

Here are 3 essential takeaways from our latest episode with historian Bruce Schulman:
1️⃣ History gives us hope and agency. The paths we’re on were shaped by human choices, which means nothing is inevitable.
2️⃣ Media doesn't just "happen." From radio to AI, how a technology gets used is shaped by institutional and political choices, not technological destiny.
3️⃣ A fragmented media landscape makes reform harder to achieve. We need collective outrage and unified action to make change happen.

Here are 3 essential takeaways from our latest episode with former presidential speechwriter Mary Kate Cary:

1️⃣ Take off the headphones, put down the cell phone, look people in the eye. Make new connections and engage with people around you.
2️⃣ Persuasion is important no matter what you do in life. Especially in the age of AI, learning to listen with empathy and speak generously is a critical skill regardless of your career.
3️⃣ One person speaking up can truly change the course of history. There are countless examples throughout American history of individuals who shaped democracy through the power of speech, and that potential still exists today.
