Great year. Incredible decade. So much has changed yet so much has stayed the same. So grateful how everything has turned out. Excited to make the next 10 years as crazy and memorable. Enjoying the passage of time… the highs, the lows, and everything in between. :)

This year was great.

Not because of some crazy breakthrough in any area of life or any external achievement.

(In fact, I suffered an injury that’s put me out of doing the things I enjoy most for a long time, and I’m still far from recovered…)

This year was great because of how I felt while living through it all.

More conscious appreciation for everything I have, the dope shit I get to experience, and the full palette of feelings I get to feel.

Less treating the present moment as just a means to an end.

But no, I didn’t become a monk, stop being ambitious, or stop working hard toward the things I want to achieve.

I just got a bit better, once again, at not letting an obsession with arbitrary goals take away from my ability to fully experience and appreciate the current reality. by @juliusbrander
