As I crossed the stage today, it was only right to honor not just myself, but the generations of powerful Ashanti women who came before me. Women of resilience, grace, wisdom, faith, and unmatched strength. Women who turned struggle into perseverance, carried families on their backs, led with courage, and never folded under pressure.

I come from a strong, relentless, powerful line of Ashanti women — women whose beauty is matched only by their discipline, intelligence, confidence, and unwavering spirit. We are raised to lead, to endure, to uplift, and to walk boldly in every room knowing exactly who we are.

Today, I carry that legacy proudly as Julora Nyanneba Amoako 🎓❤️

Being the only woman, let alone black women in the room is not anything new to me. Not intimidated then, definitely not now.

Every moment leading up to now has prepared me for what is yet to come. This one is for the ladies!!

“To think that in such a place, I led such a life” …… Kean University 🎓

In exactly two days, I will officially become an alumna of Kean University. 🤍

It’s hard to put into words what these past four years have meant to me. Kean has been more than just a university — it has been a place of growth, leadership, purpose, opportunity, and unforgettable memories.

I am endlessly grateful to Kean for every opportunity and resource that allowed me to grow academically, professionally, and personally. From campus jobs, leadership positions, internships, study abroad experiences, and the ability to speak and lead before my peers and colleagues, every moment has contributed to my journey in ways I will never take for granted.

Wow… where do I even begin? This moment feels so surreal. Four years ago, I could’ve never imagined the woman I would become standing here today. Anyone that truly knows me knows I LOVE a good, well thought out, organized plan. And if I’m being real, going to Kean was never part of mine AT ALL. But God had a plan greater than anything I could’ve written for myself. Little did I know that choosing this school would lead me into becoming the woman standing before you today — beautiful, gracious, determined, and intelligent. These past four years have stretched me, challenged me, humbled me, and shaped me into someone I am genuinely proud of.

Being First Gen was no walk in the park. There were moments filled with doubt, exhaustion, tears, fear, and feeling like the weight of everything was sitting on my shoulders. But through it all… WE MADEEEE ITTTT! 🎓😭 Every obstacle, every late night, every sacrifice led to this very moment, and I couldn’t be more proud of myself for pushing through even when things felt impossible.

First and foremost, I want to thank my mom. ❤️ There truly are not enough words to explain what she means to me. Not a lot of people can do what my mother has done. She has pushed me, encouraged me, prayed over me, and reminded me every single step of the way exactly who SHE BIRTHED! Through every late night, every breakdown, every fear about the future, she never let me give up on myself. This degree is not just mine — it is hers too. Her sacrifices, her strength, and her unconditional love carried me farther than she will ever know. Mommy, thank you for believing in me even during the moments I struggled to believe in myself. I hope I’ve made you proud. 💙

And last but certainly not least, all glory goes to God. ✨ In moments where I felt alone, hopeless, overwhelmed, or uncertain, He was always there guiding me and carrying me through. He heard every cry, every prayer, every moment of frustration, and every shout of joy. Even when I couldn't see the bigger picture, He never stopped working in my life. His grace has covered me every single step of this journey, and without him none of this would've been possible. Thank you God! by @juloraaa
