We had the immense pleasure of presenting our piece RESIDUE at La Biennale di Venezia.

Last week one of my biggest career dreams came true - together with @juliabentkowska we became one of the artists who presented their work for the iconic @labiennale ✨

In uno spazio in cui il tempo si sottrae alla linearità, il corpo diventa traccia, memoria e trasformazione. RESIDUE, della coppia di coreografe della #BiennaleCollegeDanza Bentkowska x Litwin, indaga la memoria come un territorio instabile, in cui il passato non è mai un dato immutabile, ma una materia viva, continuamente riscritta dall’esperienza.

Attraverso i corpi dei sedici giovani danzatori del Biennale College Danza, la performance interroga i concetti di identità, continuità e permanenza. Il corpo si manifesta come un anti-monumento: non un archivio immobile di ciò che è stato, ma uno spazio in cui ogni esperienza lascia un’impronta destinata a trasformarsi.

Pausa, assenza e vuoto assumono il ruolo di forze generative, capaci di aprire nuove possibilità percettive e di ridefinire il nostro modo di abitare la memoria, nella sua dimensione tanto individuale quanto collettiva.

In a space where time loses its linearity, the body becomes trace, memory and transformation. RESIDUE, by the duo of Biennale College Danza choreographers @juliabentkowska x @julysdaisy, explores memory as an unstable territory, where the past is not preserved, but continuously reshaped through experience.

During the performance, the 16 young dancers of the Biennale College Danza question ideas of identity, continuity and permanence. The body emerges as an anti-monument: not a fixed testimony of what has been, but a place where every experience is constantly redefined.

Pause, absence and emptiness become generative forces, opening new possibilities of perception and transforming the way we inhabit memory, both individually and collectively.
