A little tribute to Yayoi Kusama ✨

Her work inspired me for as long as I can remember, influencing so much of my love for colour and shapes.

She taught me from a young age that art doesn’t have to make sense to everyone, it can simply be a way of expressing how you see and feel the world through your own visual language.

I can’t believe I’ve never properly shared this project 🪸

I designed this pool a few years back, not long after moving back to Thailand from Myanmar, and looking at it now I’m like wait, I actually did this? 😅🪼

It was my first time ever designing for a pool, so a lot of it was figuring things out as I went 🐠 from the drawings and colours to how everything would flow through the space and eventually become mosaic.

I don’t think I fully appreciated it at the time, but looking back now I’m actually so proud of this one 🥹 Seeing my drawings become an actual underwater world you can swim through is kinda crazy. taken in Phuket, Thailand by @julzpedida
