The devil tried to play a fast one with my mind and I just do not want to post this video here on Instagram. I had posted it on TikTok and it’s currently doing crazy numbers (over 1.5million views). You’d think the magnitude of this beautiful testimony and even the edifying comments under that post would push me to post it on other apps but instead the devil just kept telling me “what’s the big deal about this testimony”.
But not today devil, if it’s just for one soul, that one person, I hope this video strengthens your Faith and encourages you to believe that God sees you, He hears you and there’s nothing impossible for Him to do.
Tomorrow night is the “dress like your miracle” night. I encourage you to come to the Hallelujah Challenge altar with your crazy faith.

In few weeks, months, years, our testimonies will be as if we bribed God.

Now, I know some people say this from a good place, and I appreciate the compliment. But sometimes, I can’t help but wonder if there’s an expectation for women to look like they’ve been through fire and brimstone after childbirth.

As though the evidence of motherhood must be written all over your face and body. As though you must lose your glow, your spark, and every trace of the woman you were before becoming a mum for people to acknowledge how much you’ve been through.

Please, motherhood is not synonymous with looking tattered, unkempt, or like you’ve lost yourself. A woman can go through pregnancy, childbirth, sleepless nights, and the demands of caring for a newborn and still look good. She can still take care of herself, feel beautiful, and retain her sense of identity.

Motherhood is a life changing experience, not a beauty sentence. And looking good after childbirth doesn’t mean you haven’t suffered, struggled, or sacrificed. It simply means that every woman’s experience is different.
Please, let’s stop expecting women to look like they’ve lost themselves just to prove they’ve become mothers. ❤️

It breaks my heart whenever I see a woman treated as though she is less than human, and it breaks my heart even more when that woman has just gone through the rigours of childbirth. 🥺💔
No woman deserves to be treated as less than human. Not under any circumstance. But to treat a woman who has just gone through the physical demands, pain, and risks of bringing a life into this world with cruelty, disrespect, or a lack of compassion? That is heartbreaking.

A woman who has just given birth deserves care, patience, kindness, and dignity. She deserves to be seen as a human being whose body is healing and whose wellbeing matters, too.
We can all do better. Truly.

We all know what it feels like to be hurt, dismissed, or treated without compassion. So why do the same to another person, especially someone who may be at one of the most vulnerable points in her life?

If this speaks to you in any way, please do better. Be kinder. Be more considerate. And never let the fact that women give birth every day make you forget the humanity of the woman who has just done so.

A woman does not become less deserving of respect because she has become a mother. If anything, she needs more compassion, not less.

Carrying life has a way of making you think about the future in a different light. 🥹

You begin to think about the world these little ones will grow up in, the values they will learn, the opportunities they will have and the people they will become.

And today, on International Day of the Girl Child, I’m thinking about every little girl whose dreams deserve to be protected.

May we raise girls who know that they are enough. Girls who are educated, protected, heard and encouraged to dream boldly. Girls who never have to shrink themselves to fit into a world that should be making room for them.

And may we be intentional about creating that world for them, one choice, one conversation and one generation at a time.

Happy International Day of the Girl Child. Here’s to every girl and the beautiful possibilities ahead of her.
