blast from past 🧨 by @jumpingjacks_cz
A možno nám raz dajú obraz niečoho väčšieho, čo budeme mať radi. In 2023, @sarkacamrdova and @marekbartos came to us with a beautiful idea. A book documentary about the Czech cult of pickling. They had gathered an incredible mix of photographs, interviews, recipes, and stories. Our role was to help shape the concept and find the right name. We explored several creative directions. One line captured it perfectly: Czechs are die-hard atheists. Their only religion? Pickling. From that came the title: God Is a Pickle. And now the book is finally out. Published by @gestalten. Available worldwide. by @jumpingjacks_cz
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 by @jumpingjacks_cz

I just found a tiny notebook from a holiday in Tuscany five years ago. Inside, there’s a drawing I made to show how I see the year—not as a line or a calendar, but as a lumpy, potato-shaped ring that loops around me and moves counterclockwise. I even asked my friends to draw how they see time. Back then, I didn’t know this had a name. It’s called time-space synesthesia. It means some people naturally picture time—like months, weeks, or years—as shapes in space. These shapes are different for everyone, but they’re always consistent for the person who sees them. It’s just how the brain organizes abstract ideas in a more visual, almost physical way. by @jumpingjacks_cz
We just got back from Napoli. A reminder that it doesn’t matter whether your design is ugly or beautiful — as long as it’s driven by passion. by @jumpingjacks_cz
As part of our ongoing collaboration with @jansociete , we created the complete visuals for his newly unveiled collection for EXPO 2025. For the uniform designs, Jan fused traditional Japanese workwear with classic Czech work attire. We aimed to preserve and express this fusion through the visual concept of the collection. We combined the element of a traditional Japanese Zen garden with an LED wall—representing the contrast between serenity and tradition versus the futuristic aesthetics of Osaka. The stage design connects East and West (Czechia and Japan) by capturing the passage of a single day, projecting the sky at different times. Meanwhile, the 3D elements on the LED screen subtly reference the iconic Japanese flag. This was fun! thank you @jansociete 🫰🏻 Directed and produced by @hdhd.studio director: @zemankuba creative direction: @jumpingjacks_cz (@chymchyme ) DOP: @jindrasoukal 1AC: @vojta_sys camera operator: @hlinka_kuba runner: @jaskmanicky line producer: @peta_vancata gaffer: @lumoricky best boy: @vit.pivrnec sound design: @nevertouch_me VFX: @benjamin_buttler edit: @vojta_sys color grading: @kubasalavec MUA: @bebikmua hair: @redken @jakub_bouda_ styling: @kristyna_skamrala BTS photographer: @honza_votrubec graphic designer: @jsemvojtech models: @navratimax, @evelinzemancova, @kuroshiromi, @ma_kosik, @elite_prague Special thanks to D1 studio for providing the LED wall. by @jumpingjacks_cz
