The Great Ontario Grow-Off

Each farmer will choose a plant to champion: ei Team Corn, Team Apple, Team Beet, Team Squash, etc. And market patrons will vote throughout the market for:

“Junction’s Vegetable of the Year.”

There will be a:

* Veggie Election — everyone gets one ballot to vote for their favourite Ontario vegetable.
* Best-Looking Vegetable Contest — farmers submit their most beautiful specimen.
* Ugliest Vegetable Contest — crooked carrots and weird tomatoes encouraged.
* Taste Test Challenge — several Ontario vegetables prepared simply; vote for the winner.
* At 12:30 PM, announce the winning vegetable and crown it “Junction Vegetable of the Year!” taken in The Junction Farmers Market by @junctionmarket
