A fishball seller and heir to a kung fu school, BOBO has formidable fighting skills and an equally formidable sense of her own importance.
Her robotic arm was built to make fishballs; her curry fishball cannon ensures that anyone threatening the neighbours receives a hot meal at considerable speed.
She runs a food cart with the authority of a grandmaster and walks through the street as though expecting a standing ovation.
Raised by the neighbourhood, she considers everyone’s troubles her personal responsibility.
Her heart is in the right place; her fists tend to get there first.
She insists she has given up on her dreams, although the hope of reopening her old kung fu school has proved rather difficult to abandon.

Proudly Introducing: Goldfish Street’s “Nobel-Worthy” Inventor — LITTLE ONE 🐦‍⬛

Incense for the dead; bright ideas for the living.
A deadpan genius, Little One runs a shop selling paper phones, computers and other offerings to be burnt as gifts for the afterlife.
Others burn paper money for their ancestors; she burns Bitcoin access codes—apparently, being dead is no excuse for falling behind on technology.
She rarely speaks, and when she does, her remarks tend to require decoding.
The neighbours mistake her late-night coding sessions for attempts to summon spirits—an understandable error, given the incense and eerie blue light.
Her ambitions are modest: uncover the secrets of the mysterious world known as the Cloud, and see her family once more.
As for the distinction between science and superstition, the matter remains under review, pending a response from her ancestors.

Delighted to be profiled in Forbes @forbes

When the door I had expected to open never did, I turned to a new medium and built a path of my own.

This piece gave me the chance to look back on the journey—from discovering martial arts at eight in Foshan, through boarding school and a master’s degree at University of the Arts London @unioftheartslondon @lcflondon_ , to working as a production designer in commercials, directing the official music video for Peter Gabriel @itspetergabriel ’s “The Court,” collaborating with OpenAI @openai , Google @google , and ByteDance, and now creating Goldfish Mayhem with Wonder Studios @wearewonderstudios

It is a story about love, about finding my voice as a woman and filmmaker, and about how the little girl I once was kept making her way into a much bigger world.

So happy to be invited by Clarins @clarinsofficial. My studio and I created a new art film, **The Dual State**, using artificial intelligence for the launch of the **new Clarins Double Serum Eye**. ✨

The story came from something very close to us: late nights, endless edits, glowing screens, and those moments when “just one more change” suddenly turns into 3AM.

In the film, Eden discovers another world beneath reality — a living system of cells, fibers, plants, and flowing golden networks. A world that has been quietly recording every sleepless night, every bit of stress, and every moment of exhaustion.

For me, **The Dual State** is about two forces working together: nourishing and restoring, while also activating and reconnecting.

Maybe life doesn’t always have to be a choice between pushing forward and taking care of ourselves.

Sometimes, **1 + 1 can be greater than 2. ✨**

Thank you to Alibaba’s AI department, Happy Horse, for the invitation and creative collaboration 🐎✨

This time, under the theme “Ride the Dream as a Horse”, we created a short film about the body, memory, and spiritual telepathy.

The story follows a girl who has been connected to horses since childhood.
In her childhood world, a horse was never just an animal. It could be the wooden rocking horse that grew up with her, the dimly rotating carousel lamp, the “Trojan horse virus” hidden inside her childhood computer, or the seemingly tiny fragments of daily life that quietly embedded themselves deep within her memory.

When she grows up, she becomes a dancer.
Through dance, she continues searching for the image of that horse from her childhood memories. Through repeated moments of approaching, colliding, resisting, and merging, she begins to understand the instincts of the body, the pull of emotion, and the wordless spiritual connection between human and horse.

In this way, the horse in the film is no longer merely a concrete animal.
It becomes more like an echo of childhood, an embodiment of free will deep within the body, and a complex symbol woven from memory, desire, instinct, and spiritual projection.

In this short film, the girl and the horse go through a process of encounter, collision, confrontation, understanding, and fusion.
Dance becomes the most direct form of communication between her and her memory, her body, and that “horse.”

Through the dancer’s body, the horse’s breath, dreamlike visual fragments, and childhood symbols such as the wooden horse, the carousel lamp, and the Trojan horse virus, we hope to weave together a sensitive space that drifts between reality and memory.

This is a spiritual journey about growth, loss of control, confrontation, and eventual reconciliation.

Ride the dream as a horse, and take the body as the road.

Deep within memory, she arrives once again at the self who once ran freely.

These past few days have been hell.

On April 26, 2026, my IG account **@JunieLauX** was hacked and quickly disabled by the system.

This was not just a normal social media account. It had been with me for more than 10 years — carrying my memories from studying in the UK, my creative journey, work connections, friends, clients, collaborators, and a big part of my public identity as a filmmaker / artist.

When I saw the page saying:

**We’ve disabled your account.**
**Account disabled on 26 April 2026.**
**You cannot request another review of this decision.**

I completely broke down.

It felt like a part of my life, my memories, and my identity had been stolen from me.

But during the darkest and most helpless moments, I also received so much kindness.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped me, supported me, replied to me, gave me advice, introduced me to people, or simply said something kind to comfort me. Even a small message meant so much to me at that moment.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
