Exciting Announcement!

Bajan artist Junior Sealy (Anthony Sealy) has been accepted to FUZE Art Fair, part of the 5th anniversary of The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival at Baha Mar, Nassau (Oct 21 - 25). This year's theme is Coming Home.

He'll be presenting his new collection, Rasta Regality, a photographic and mixed-media exhibit introducing his photo-printed panels, which bring his photography and mixed-media practices together in one body of work.

This ongoing series redefines the visual language of the region by placing Rastafari, an identity long shrouded in stigma inherited from a colonial past, at the centre of the frame. Through deliberate composition, regal dress, and commanding presence, the series reclaims that narrative. It captures the inherent royalty of Rastafari and transforms historically policed bodies into symbols of divine, natural majesty.

Sealy is part of a shift that is redefining Caribbean art through a modern Caribbean lens.

A refined interpretation of Barbadian craft, this @tialani.luxuries dress draws inspiration from the delicate intricacy of the traditional “Bajan Doily”, reimagined through a modern lens.

Balanced perfectly with @motionsofclay ‘s “Earth Tone Vases” that were thrown on the pottery from locally sourced bank clay, trimmed and given a textured finished.

Captured at the pottery studio location in Cambridge near Chalky Mount by talented @juniorsealy with Barbadian Artist @amandareifer in front his lens.

Custom Extensions provided and styled by @thecurlcodeextensions specifically for this shoot to capture the movement, flow and sculptural elements of the campaign.

Saint Lucia really inspired me to just live more! Everyone knows I love fashion probably more than most things - and because I hardly leave home in Barbados, I don’t really dress like that.

I vow to change that and do more fashion content because I love my wardrobe! 🥹❤️💫
