The mother in the cavern. The mother only begets stones, endless waves of stone, prisons. Her eternal memory poisons her. Her kin scar over her body. She remembers and grows upon her motionless axis. Her magic fades away. The four sons of her time turned into dry branches. Memories of everything she withered.

In the midst of harsh winter, or in seasons when hope is hard to hold onto, Nitor Renascens, son of a deer's unexplored dream and of the shepherd whom fed mouths forgot, appears before a fortunate few. His presence is a good omen, an announcement of miracles to come. Humans revere him as a god, and elves do not claim him among their own. His giving soul always blossoms in the face of true need. "The horns work the magic of a nomadic spring; the staff is almost a tree that sows seeds in infertile soil. At one end, honest satiety, and at the other, the memory of finitude, the cyclical, and the lightness of any sorrow."
