Our very first performance of 天地人和 Symbiosis - threaded across spans of lifetimes at @joustjuice last season. I have been writing about its flowing gifts now and often. And yet, when pulling through corner strands of analog proses together, it lands merely, in the air that we take into our lungs.

Thank you to all that showed up in a time where creating, grieving, radically dreaming feels impossible in all its amorphous beauty. Those who remembers, remembered and came to us after naming the impacts of its voices. Those who tried to make it. Those who forever shares this magic and makes up of this constant work of struggled freeing. Those who continue to hold on to us for dear fucking life, in the ways they are endlessly fought for and embraced.

New and old friends who were down on the dance floors with us. Masked. Making continuous access possible and expansive.

Our diasporic ancestries of both the colonised and coloniser. Our duties. Relentless gifts of radically loving, living in abundance beyond survival. Beyond collapse. Of the everyday. Of the roots.

Holding winnowing change, transitions, revolting vibrations as we move with mothers’ cycles ; preparing for deep rest, reflection, mulching, alignment.

Intentionally spending time with collective unwellness ( without centring intergenerational-individualised, internalised, stagnant grief and trauma ) ; allowing them to move through our bodies with ample porosity is a virtue and a gift. They demand sustaining, daily practices.

All of which we are responsible for-more than ever now. ways we choose to invest our energy and time with souls, spaces who act in assiduous, consistent parallelism: arts, crafts, we uplift…anything less, would be of disservice.

Disservice to our siblings who had been, are still being martyred on stolen homelands in falesteen. Siblings in Jamaica-relentlessly nurturing, stewarding our lands facing disproportionate frontline, catastrophic consequences from ecological collapses. Caged, walled, stifled, siblings displaced by malices of big oilgasfascz10garchs, ecoethnog3noc1des. Sudan. Congo. Yemen. Haiti. Turtle islands…

Those who function in direct praxis, adjacents to western individualism, imperialism that continues to see nature merely as storehouse of resources. Where wealth is continuously centralised for the 1%. Systems never built to sustain values of life, but profit, exploitation, extraction. Old worlds must be born, empires uprooted.

Those who have the liberty to ‘look away’, for ‘self-care’ and ‘inner peace’ must be, radically awoken through our joint resistance in remembrance. In consistently, bearing witness.

All of it matters.

As a society, we have been taught to fill in spaces too obnoxiously well. Too little, pay credence within minute facets that demand our active, discerning, earnest listening. Without judgment. Only, and solely- a witness through change. As nature etches and morphs in enriching loams, saline sediments.

To holding community beloveds near and far, dearly and deeply. There is no revolution without radical care.

Archiving sacred sentiments on indigenous lands of Mohican peoples, with sweet sentient beings.

Time is carved. We must learnt the ways to live, undistracted.

endlessly, grateful for longer seasons of pain, hurt, heartbreaks in earlier youth years ; those of perpetual clarity in choosing loving, its entireties. allowing our souls to bath in bleakness, unknown, tumultuous landscapes, in truth.

fervent pain often grows our sensitivity to specs of joy, reverence, revelation; grief that continues, to tender us, as we succumb to the earth in embrace.

‘we are all struggling people’ - ‘ and we are all succumbing to our becomings peoples too’.

the colour red.

bumps and shadows, make us more.

the notion of choosing, is consistently, hard-earned.

we keep each other alive, in fragmented beauty. even as our breath trembles in palpitating hearts, it is in the air we take into our lungs. however involuntarily.

our bodies take air into our lungs. for dear, fucking, life.

of abundance. if and when and in the ways we choose.
