JUNK DRAWER #10 ON 10/10 ★ boy oh boy did we have THE best time outside of @hivemindbookstore this past weekend! weather: perfect , vendors: awesomesauce , sidewalk: bustling ꩜ the biggest thank you to everyone who came out and supported all of the amazing queer art on display, you guys are the realest. and thank you lovely vendors for spending the afternoon selling your goodies! i had a great time talking to junk drawer newcomers along with returning attendees and each time someone says that they feel at home in our lil community, i swear my heart grows three sizes. massive shout out to jay from hive mind as well for caffeinating us all and being so sweet with the help during setup and break down ^U^

Deeply inspired by the manga, anime, and subcultures of her home country, Japan, Kanon creates illustrations that exist somewhere between cute and eerie, as well as fine-line tattoos and kawaii character designs.

Kanon continues to create with the hope that her work will help people have a better relationship with themselves and their bodies, both those who wear her art and those who simply experience it.”

“Sacha’s Clay World was dreamt up by Sacha Perlstein (they/them), a professional photographer-turned-ceramicist. After COVID hit and work in the photo industry turned scarce, they took up ceramics as a hobby to try and minimize doom scrolling. Nearly 3 years (and hundreds of pounds of clay) later, they eventually found their niche in handbuilt ceramic jewelry + accessories. Sacha lives and works in north Brooklyn.”
