Screaming, crying, losing my shit! My debut EP ‘Alamort’ is officially out. The word Alamort means half dead from exhaustion, which summarizes how I was feeling when I wrote these songs. When writing this EP I wanted to capture the spectrum of emotions you experience growing up, and I am so proud of what I have been able to create. I wrote these songs between the ages of 14 and 16 and I am so stoked that they are now out in the world, there for you to listen. So many people helped in creating this EP and I owe so many thank you’s. @nick.roughan you brought these songs to life and I am so greatful for your help, you are incredible. @benbankshaw3 - the absolute goat. Thank you for sticking behind these songs for so long. Eoghan Barret - the drum master. Chris Chetland - thank you so much for mastering. @datmoyle - I couldn’t have done any of this without you. @dgerl - your photos are incredible. @tomgerlach - the dadager. @reidtahlia - you are a genius and I love you. And of course to all of you listeners and supporters. I am so incredible greatful xx by @junogerlach_
I am so incredibly excited to announce that my debut EP ‘Alamort’ will be released on Friday the 3rd of July. This EP has been in the works for years and years, so the fact that it will be out in the world is so exciting! My 3rd single for this EP ‘Sensible’ will be released this Friday, and we have an EP launch gig at Rhyme and Reason on Saturday the 4th of July, so stay tuned for more details. xx by @junogerlach_
Three nights, four artists and a whole lot of heart! 🎶 From soulful songwriting and country-pop to heartfelt tales from across the ditch and a little Newtown-born country rebellion, we've got a mighty fine mix hitting The Pal stage this week! THURS 5 NOV — DANIELLE LAMB With a voice that moves between power and fragility, Danielle Lamb brings over two decades of musical experience to The Pal. Having performed everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to New York and Japan, Danielle blends soulful pop, jazz influences and heartfelt storytelling. Her songwriting has travelled far and wide too, with her collaboration House On Fire reaching #1 in Switzerland. Danielle Lamb from 8pm. @daniellelambmusic FRI 6 NOV — LEILA Canberra's rising country-pop singer-songwriter Leila is making plenty of noise with her powerful vocals, honest storytelling and infectious melodies. Having shared stages with Ella Hooper, Nathan Cavaleri and Bella Mackenzie, Leila brings a fresh country-pop sound full of heart. Fresh from releasing her new EP Heart And Soul, she's stopping by The Pal on her national tour. Leila from 8pm. @leilamusicc SUN 8 NOV — JUNO GERLACH (NZ) & K WALSH Two very different storytellers take over our Sunday stage! 6PM — JUNO GERLACH Coming to us from New Zealand, Juno writes beautifully honest songs about love, heartbreak, friendship and the messy business of growing up. Her music is nostalgic, cinematic and full of emotion, capturing the highs and lows of being young. @junogerlach_ 8PM — K WALSH Newtown roots, Melbourne postcode and a healthy disregard for country music conventions! K Walsh brings his own brand of country to The Pal, swapping polished cowboy clichés for something a little rougher around the edges. Known for his work with The Podium Babies, featuring musicians from The Smith Street Band and beyond. @kwalshgalactic Doors from 5pm. Free entry, always. Be sure to check out our Jack Daniel's and Young Henrys drinks specials! 🥃🍻 Our live music program is made possible with the ongoing support of @jackdaniels_aus 🥃 @younghenrys 🍻 & @soundnsw 🔊 by @junogerlach_
