Custom glass and stone work

A BEAUTIFUL project at PDX by: Lilian Pitt, Juno Lachman and Ben Dye. It was an honor and pleasure to be a part of the glass fabrication process with my shop mate Juno who designed, fused and etched all the panels.
We pulled an all-nighter installing it at the Portland International Airport. #laminatedartglass #glass #fusedglassart #etchedglass #pdx taken in Portland International Airport (PDX) by @junoglass

In early 2025, Lillian Pitt, myself, and Ben Dye were commissioned (as a team) to create a sculpture in the new terminal at Portland International AirPort.
One of the goals of the sculpture (as proposed by Regional Arts and Culture Council) was to create a sculpture in the”representative of contemporary regional indigenous artist practices”. As Lillian Pitt is a highly regarded indigenous artist raised on the Warm Springs Reservation, she was a perfect fit to conceive the design.
My job was to create all of the glass elements, and Ben Dye fabricated the metal armature. Lillian’s concept was to illustrate her “Celestial Ancestors” as characters intended to welcome visitors at PDX and make them feel safe and supported.
The sculpture is 8’ diameter x 12’ tall
Thank you to all who helped !

Great opening at the Washington Park Reservoir today. I’m thrilled to have the honor of furnishing the Timeline Bricks (depicting the history of the reservoir through narrative and old newspaper photos), as well as the Pump house windows (with illustrations of how the pumps function).
The reservoir will “re open” to the public this fall, go check it out, it is beautiful and calming. by @junoglass
