It was a simple text message: he wanted to meet me. It sounded like a date, but more serious. I didn't know what was coming, but when I enter the roof terrace, seeing him well dressed between the lights, the Ojamas gathering around him in excitement, I know something is different.

"Wow, this is. ."

I want to say 'beautiful' but I can't finish my sentence because the moment I step towards him, he goes down on one knee.

His posture rigid but his eyes unusually soft. He's breathing a bit harder than usual, his fingers gripping the velvet box with a tension that shows just how nervous he actually is.

"Listen," he starts, his voice a bit rough, cracking slightly before he clears his throat and finds his strength. He looks up at me, his dark eyes searching mine with an intensity that feels like it's stripping him bare. "I'm not good at this. I'm loud, I'm arrogant, and I'm a pain in the ass. I know I can be a lot to handle... and you're probably the only person in the world who'd actually put up with me."

A small, lopsided smile tugs at his lips, but his expression remains earnest, while I can't even say a word. Instead I can feel my eyes tearing up. His gaze locked onto mine as he speaks from the heart. "But you're the only one who actually sees me. The real me. And I don't want to spend a single day of the rest of my life without you by my side... probably telling me I'm being too stubborn."

Behind him, the Ojamas are practically vibrating with excitement. Yellow is clutching Green's arm, eyes wide and sparkling, while Black is nodding solemnly, as if this is the most important event in the history of the world. He ignores them, his entire world narrowed down to the girl standing in front of him.

"Nikki..." He breathes my name like a vow, his voice dropping to a low, hopeful murmur. "Will you marry me? Be mine..forever?"

He's about to protest being guided somewhere, but the moment my hand covers his eyes a small, amused smirk comes onto his face.

"Heh. This better be good, Cupcake." He mutters, almost teasing, before the sudden kiss on his check catches him off guard and he feels something bump his head—probably the Ojamas?

He blinks a few times before his gaze lands on the table, the cake and the presents and he quirks an eyebrow in genuine surprise.

"...Huh. Is all of this for me?"

I softly chuckle. "Of course it is, silly. Happy birthday my love. Don't let these troublemakers eat the cake first."

His smirk returns, sharp but softer now, as he glances between me and the cake—before his gaze lands on Ojama Yellow, who is practically drooling over the dessert. He lets out a low scoff, crossing his arms.

"Tch. Yellow, if you even think about stealing a bite before me, I’ll turn you into scrap." He threatens—but the amusement in his tone betrays him.

Then, quieter—just for me—he leans over to murmur near my ear:

"...Did you really bake this yourself?" There's a strange note in his voice—something between disbelief and reluctant fondness.

A lot has happened in the past few days. Lots of negativity reached me but I want to move on.

And this gift I received from @naomisunny12 really brightens my day 😭💖 this means so much to me. I always wanted to have my own GX eyecatch and she drew it perfectly.
I can't say thank you enough. 💖

I mean look how beautiful my man is, and that smug look on his face 😎 this time it was me getting the love letter and of course I appreciated it a lot more than Asuka did. (I just hope it was no poem 🤣)
