These 4 years have completely changed my life. From the moment I got off the plane, I knew I would be forever changed by this decision. This is and was absolutely personal. The challenges I’ve overcame and the milestones i’ve been able to reach during my time here is so insane. Here is where I grew as a woman, a friend, sister, daughter, human, as God’s child. Praises to the most high because he heard and felt all the tears I cried, all the long nights, and struggles did not let it go in vain. God put me here! Girls with my story, who look like me, and come from where I come from aren’t supposed to make it this far yet here I am. Not only did I learn to Find A Way or Make One but that everything happens for a reason. I am supposed to be here, this is not by chance; it was destined. I am forever grateful to this institution for the beautiful souls it’s allowed me to meet, for the lessons I had to learn, because it made me the DEGREED WOMAN I am today.

Mami y Papi, dos dominicanos que vinieron a este país para luchar y logar más, espero haberles hecho orgullosos. Su bebé ya es una mujer con su Bachelors.🥳 Papi, tu negrita te escuchó y te tuvo presente todos estos años. Mami, sigo tus pasos. No conozco muchas mujeres que trabajen más duro que tú ni que hayan logrado tanto. Contigo aprendí que con fe y Papá Dios, todo es posible. To my village - Angel, Heidy, all my cousins, aunts/uncs, siblings, and entire family - thank you for loving me so loudly and never letting me forget who I am. All the FaceTime calls, the missed birthdays, the celebrations I couldn’t be there for, the tearful goodbyes during breaks, y’all held me down through it all. I’m crying just thinking about how deeply I’m loved. I truly wouldn’t be here without you. Heaven sent, every single one of you. LONG LIVE ANGIE, I love you babygirl and I know you been watching over. WE did it my angel! Till we meet again💕
