This past week has been a time of intense transition for myself, Lauren, and our wonderful students. Spending the last few days in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, I have had the chance to reflect on such an amazing 6-week experience. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to adventure around with these lovely individuals as their mentor and friend. Through the ups and downs, places we visited, hosts that welcomed us, activities we did, we grew together and created memories that will endure. Needless to say, it was incredibly emotional reading the Airplane Notes we had written for each other in the group during program wrap. I feel like this was more than just a gap year program; it was an unforgettable and cherished shared experience. The cycle of inspiration between us all was heartwarming to say the least. I feel so grateful that alongside me in the journey, Lauren displayed unremitting dedication, confidence, empathy, and a set of organizational skills I was fortunate enough to learn from. Sitting here at the Denver airport, I look forward to my next chapter, feeling a certain level of warmth that will help me transition from the tropics to the Rockies. #pacificdiscovery taken in Costa Rica by @just.in_canada
