🎞️🌱 From festival waste to film developer!

Join artist @_julianmicallef for FDAL, a unique workshop exploring ecological approaches to analogue film development.

Participants will document KampuSajf 2026 across all three festival days (6–8 August) before taking part in a hands-on 35mm film developing workshop on Saturday 8 August, using an organic developer created from food waste and compost collected throughout the festival.

📸 Previous experience with analogue photography is required and participants are encouraged to bring their own 35mm film camera.

👥 Limited to 10 participants. Selected participants will receive complimentary access to KampuSajf for all three days.

Register via the link in our bio 🔗

🗑️ FDAL is a collaboration between artist @_julianmicallef, @zibelofficial project manager @crissy.macelli and illustrator @ggraceillustrates.

KampuSajf 2026: Artistic Direction Announcement 🪩🌟

KampuSajf returns for its 2026 edition, marking 25 years of @mcastmt 🎉

This year’s festival is led by Artistic Directors Elyse Tonna (@elysetonna) and Justin Galea (@just_galea) whose practices span curating, architecture and visual arts, alongside music, performance and live production. Working across different fields, their collaboration brings a shared focus on interdisciplinarity, process-based and site-specific work.

Titled ‘Playgrounds for Emergence’, this edition turns attention to the early stages of artistic practice: the space where ideas are tested, developed and begin to take shape. The MCAST campus is approached as a ground for experimentation, opening up classrooms, workshops, gardens and transitional spaces as sites for making, exchange and encounter.

As the institution marks its 25th year, the festival reflects on the campus as a place where practices begin and evolve, bringing together students, alumni, artists and collaborators in a shared process of exploration 🌿

More details on the programme and open call will be shared soon 🥳

Here’s what Jazz Assemblea host @just_galea had to say about the exhibition ‘Jazz Vignettes: Fragments, Connected’, curated by @guzecamilleri.

It’s the final week to experience the stories, sounds, and moments that shaped the island’s jazz scene.
