👋Allow me to introduce one of my biggest inspirations.

My 8yr old autistic firecracker of a younger brother.
He was non verbal between the ages of 2 and 4 yrs. People always said he would form proper sentences eventually so we never gave it much thought until he approached the school going age and was still unable to cohesively speak and form sentences .
We then did research, google mainly and tried to figure out why he couldn't talk yet at his age.
Further down the road ,now came the time to apply to schools (grade 1) but we couldn't because we knew he wasn't ready,which was saddening and quite stressful. We then took him to a Paediatrician who then gave us a referral to an occupational therapist ,who then in turn encouraged us to take him to a special school. He was then enrolled and I can proudly say after all that struggle ,it was all worth it. My special boy can now officially hold a basic conversation, write and count,has a bright personality and is truly happy thanks to @dagbreek_resource_school . He is such a special boy and he reminds me everyday what unconditional love,kindness and empathy are in various forms .

This journey was not an easy one but it has produced beautiful results and continues to do so🤗. My brother is one of the reasons I am so passionate about children, especially children with special needs.
Just because a child has a special need or certain disability does not mean they are unable because these kids are certainly Able in their own way and in their own time ,you just have to provide them with the space to bloom and grow .

Last but not least ,this is the start of a beautiful journey . 👑

I cannot wait to showcase what my advocacy is fully about in detail but I can definitely say I'm ready and immensely excited 🤗❤.

📍Deadvlei is a surreal white clay pan in Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft Park, famous for its 900-year-old, blackened dead camelthorn trees surrounded by massive red dunes, including the 300-400m high “Big Daddy”.
