Someone in the comments told me I had to try Bún Bò Huế.

The flavor is the broth was my favorite part. You could tell it had been simmering for hours.

So I tried this little cube and it didn’t really taste like anything…
then he casually tells me it’s frozen blood.

I’m not gonna lie, I could’ve lived my whole life without knowing that 😩

I set it to the side and kept enjoying the soup though. I loved it overall. by @just_sheenaaa

I found a random street vendor selling Sup Cua. Now I was a little nervous, yall. It was slimy, had quail eggs… but I liked it!! 7/10. For $.90?! Would definitely eat it again. 🤗 by @just_sheenaaa

Checked out @vigiftsouvenirsdanangvn in Da Nang. It’s a must visit if you’re someone who likes picking up souvenirs for family and friends. They have all the Viet snacks, coffee, and teas as well as cute little purses, fans and mirrors. Check them out when you’re in Da Nang.

Y’all have been telling me to try bún chả, so I finally made it to Bún Chả Hương Liên, the famous spot where President Obama ate.

I walked in thinking, “Let’s see if it lives up to the hype.” 👀

First impression? The smoky grilled pork was pretty good. The sauce had this tangy, slightly sweet flavor that pulled everything together.

The only thing that threw me off was the cold noodles. 😭 I know that’s how they’re traditionally served, but I couldn’t stop wishing they were warm. If you know why they’re served cold, tell me in the comments! And be honest… do y’all actually prefer them that way? 👀

Overall, I liked the dish and I’m glad I finally tried it. But if I’m being honest, I think this restaurant is worth visiting for the experience and the history more than because it’s the best bún chả in Hanoi.

The very next day I tried bún chả at a smaller local spot, and personally… I liked it even more. Even the locals I talked to agreed there are better places around the city.

So my recommendation? Definitely try bún chả, but don’t make the famous tourist spot your only stop. Some of the best meals are waiting at the more local restaurants too. ❤️

Part 2 is coming because I still had to try the spring rolls and the beer. 😂

I was just walking by and this local invited me into his new shop, so of course I had to stop. 😂

He told me he used to be a tour guide, but he wanted more time with his family, so he took a chance and opened this spot a few months ago.

Then he handed me the Vietnamese bong (điếu cày)…

Y’all… 😭😂

I could barely take ONE hit while this man was over there doing it like it was nothing. He definitely humbled me. 😂

But honestly, what I loved most wasn’t trying the bong. It was hearing his story. Meeting kind people and supporting small local businesses is one of my favorite parts of traveling.

June, you were so good to me. 🤍

I celebrated all month long, and somehow every moment felt like a reminder that life has a way of surprising you.

A year ago, I never would’ve imagined celebrating my birthday surrounded by such an incredible community in Vietnam. To everyone who showed up, sent a message, shared a laugh, danced with me, bought me a drink, gave me flowers, or simply made me feel seen… thank you. You made this birthday one I’ll never forget.

There’s something really special about finding people who make a place halfway around the world feel like home.

As this birthday month comes to an end, I’m carrying a heart full of gratitude into this next chapter. Here’s to more growth, deeper connections, unexpected adventures, and creating a life that feels just as beautiful as it looks. 🥳🥂

One minute we were at the club… and the next minute we were outside having foot races in the street 😂🏃🏾‍♀️

Don’t ask me why I thought I could beat two grown men because I still don’t know either 😭

I lost.

Badly. 😂

Then I had the audacity to say, “y’all not even that fast… I started late and wasn’t even that far behind y’all” 😭

The way they just looked at me and walked off has me CRYING 😂

These are the moments I’ll probably remember the most.

Travel has taught me that some of the best memories are the completely unplanned ones.

I did NOT expect to have this much fun 😂🎮

If you’re in Da Nang and looking for something different to do besides cafés and the beach… add this to your list.

We went to Another World and played multiple VR games, and let’s just say the competitiveness came out REAL quick. 😂

You can play player vs player or team up together, and there are so many games to choose from.

Also… the amount of screaming that happened was embarrassing. 😭

Have y’all ever tried VR before? Would you survive or would you be the first one yelling, “OH HELL NO, WHO IS KILLING ME?” 😂👇🏽

One thing about Vietnam… they are ALWAYS gonna introduce me to something I’ve never had before 😂🇻🇳

My Vietnamese friend actually put me on to this sweet soup before, so when I saw it again at the market I had to run it back.

The coconut milk was SO good, and all the little toppings together somehow worked 😭

Honestly the whole thing reminded me of a fruity cereal dessert. Sweet, creamy, chewy, refreshing… my brain was confused but I went with it. 😂
