1 year of Just a Batch 🧁💝🍪

A year ago, I decided to share my little passion project online.

Fun fact: I made this Instagram account in 2020 during lockdown just for fun. I played around in canva with names, logos and branding colours. I practiced my royaling icing techniques, buttercream piping and my food photography. It was private and I had ONE follower who entertained me and liked every single one of my posts (@cmauchan 🥰😘).

After taking some cookies and cupcakes to parties last summer, I decided to put this out into the world to share wider and see what might happen.

I’ve learned so many new techniques in the last year and tried so many fun new themes but the biggest standout of the whole year is how many faces, new and old, supported my little passion and ordered from me.

I saw so many friends, parents of friends, family members, met little ones, met significant others (the true hero’s on pick up orders!), tested shipping across Canada and was trusted with a gender reveal!! (So stressful, imagine getting that wrong???)

Thank you for supporting me and my love for decorating cookies and cupcakes 🤍💝

Next up: Christmas pre-orders!!! Coming soon. 🎄🎄
