Sooo… I got a crush rn. It’s been a minute so it’s kinda hard to sit in it. Butterflies are posin as a threat
and I don’t even know her yet.
When I look at her or when she gets close to me….
Damn it’s gotta be her energy.
Or maybe i can feel the light in her heart. Had to be what made me feel pulled in. I’m gettin a sensation.
A feeling encapsulated in the thought of, “wow this is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen.”
Me, a moth fairy, drawn to the shine of your beam.
Only to have been graced by your presence a few times now, and I want more.
I already see me wrapping my arms around you,
comfortably if it were up to me.
To me tho, you’re delicate
and deserve respect.

Took some distance to lessen the tension,
Came back and they still demanded your response and attention
Saying you’re negative when... that’s really just their projected opinion
Treated like a ghost, holding back thoughts and words for yours and their betterments’ causing you to choke,
scared you gone spazz like that one... time, so you idle on the phone more than too long with strangers, unaware of any danger, and wanting no end to the run on sentence just to feel seen.
Heart beat spiking, at the thought of who you were from the past, making an appearance and causing an interference in this new life you don’t have control of right now. The trigger can’t be pressed if you remove it tho. And you respect that we are all trying to do so. So you forgive them for not having been able to heal all of theirs yet. And apologize for ever comin off as a threat. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t or can’t open a new door when being made to feel closed in.

I been tryna speak out more about whats causing this inner turmoil. The list is getting so long tho that I can’t tell what set off what anymore. I just know I don’t feel safe. I feel like an open bare wound that keeps tryna clean itself to heal fully but I just keep getting dirty. Now I’m infected fr. There’s a viral infection in my system. It was you. Why did I have to fall for a convincing yet inching heart? So many lessons I’m learning from you, but none of them being what it’s like for you to be mine.
Being apart, constantly questionin my thoughts. I’m kept at arms length, writhing in pain from withdrawals of your presence. Not sure how to think or feel properly, every movement hesitant. Afraid to ruin the image that brings you close just once more... but never fully. You fooled me. #poetry #healing #myheart #through #words by @justangsings
