It took me over a year to do so, but I finally decided it's best to re-distribute the hearts I had given to my grandfather. Made some intentional changes & some unintentional ones from the rough draft. The thoughts were a little more meaningful & may be expanded upon; I have purposefully decided against sharing a close-up view of them. This'll do for this year. Available. Some of my favorite pieces. #justanothercaretaker<><•><><•><>The Clown Fabric Art portrait is 16.5" × 19.5" and has some damage, especially to the bottom right corner. It is signed "Thomas Chase Watson circa 1967" . I have offered it to several people and honestly I think it's worth more than the price I put on it, but I apparently don't have the audience or rep yet (& that's okay). Are they auction ready?<><•><><•><>Now in the collection of @vintagefrenchy is Pepè , who is either #papiermache or #plasterofparis . 19" at his tallest and a span of 2 feet from fingertip to fingertip. Signed "P.R. Bullard" on the bottom, likely the collector and not the artist (documents found online), but it's still cool to Speculate & Ponder. Regardless of origin, he's unique enough and isn't as heavy as he looks. 20 pounds and is in great shape. When lifted, there is the slight sound of styrofoam beads (?) falling; I guess his insides are starting to come apart slightly, but minimal damage on the exterior, just tiny nicks. Unknown age, but prior research indicates anything from the 20's to the day before I found it. Some say it might be from this millennium. I'm not magic & I don't have the super power to touch an object and instantly know.<><•><><•><>On the right, a lightweight wooden abstract sculpture. I believe it's signed "DAULA" but it's hard to make out. 15.75" tall × 15.5" long. Lots of damage to the exterior paint and some minor cracking. No idea on age or origin since the label on the bottom is faded. Could that mean it's older like from the 70's or 50's? Even if it's modern, I'd still like it.Daula seems to have had a rough life and been beat up by time like most of us. Angelic Sunday Blessings be with ye all!I have had one of these things for almost 14 years, and the others for less than 3 years. All adored & 3 available. It continues to be difficult for me to price some pieces when I care for them or have them in displays already, but nothing can come with us to meet the angels.Painting is a surrealist mixed media on cloth from Cameroonian artist Anye Divine Afuch circa late 1990's/early 2000's. Simply framed of the era. Measuring 34.125" × 23.125" in frame. Purchased @ Rhinebeck just last year & forever a joy to just stare at & find new faces and elements. Not sure of my asking so accepting offers/trades. The tiny ceramic angel with cymbals is unavailable at this time. I'll probably just gift it to someone. I'm blessed to know a few angels on our shared earth.Pottery bust is circa 1940's. 7.25" H × 6.25" W × 6.75" D. Purchased from New England Auctions & the description said it was attributed to Reginald Marsh. From the collection of Peter Brams. Available since she doesn't mesh as well with the others after 2 years. DM with offers, trade or purchase.Lastly is a surreally decorated bottle signed "Cardé 94". 11.375" × 2.75" × 3.75". The bottle is adorned with yarn, paint, glitter, and papier mache elements. It's an interesting piece which deserves a dedicated mini lazy Susan to show off all its facets. Most minor of cracks in the paint & base has some loss from an old felt pad. Available. "Fragile Castles"Available today are 3 types of castles/empires, build your own & ones that easily come crashing down. First is a 38.75" × 30.675" framed painting on cloth. Likely of Jerusalem but since the framing was done before I acquired it, I couldn't further investigate. Signed "Anne Rubenstein (?) '78" & found locally to the framer so I'd say they were likely a Pennsylvania artist. A bit blocky & odd but looks nice enough to me. Asking $250 + S/H but I'd go lower for local pickup.Second is a Laughing Lantern of the Philadelphia Skyline by K. Beswick. 2010's & measures ~ 12" × 9.5" × 3.5". It does have a cord that goes in the back and would light it up, but it's daytime & the bulb gave out. But I'd give you the cord if you wanted. Some slight blemishes due to the chalk paint. Asking $30 + shipping.Lastly today is a set of Crandall's Building Blocks (for children). The patent date is February 5th, 1867 but I doubt it's actually that old since the blocks are in wonderful condition. In not such wonderful condition is the paper guide for inspiration; it's even missing a section, but I'd still include it for you. Box is 10" × 6.375" × 1.875" & is still rather sturdy. The tribal mask seems to be enjoying their new spot. I am trying my best to not interfere with the growth around them and the other heads, but it's oh so tempting. How long can they last? When repacking some stuff up for the garage, I kept these (& a few more) things inside because they're just too nice to be boxed away or put into the stacks. All available. Nothing over $350 currently & most under $100. For anyone whose brain works like mine, I think you'll understand which are which & why. Still haven't made space to add them to my walls or dresser tops.As always too, I'm open to trades & in person visits in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Just a half hour away from Philadelphia & willing to travel to you if you're within a reasonable distance because it's always better to see art in person and to feel them with your fingertips. Just give me a heads up & I'll let you look through almost anything that's mine because we can't take it with us. Even if we want to, we can't & I'd never seclude the art and memories of others to just myself. I can't see if I shared this before my recent hiatus, so I should do so here on the main feed. Presented in two different lights for transparency and neither photo with proper handling because it's still me.This is me. This was my mind before I took a Winter & Spring break. The parts that are obvious and the ones that aren't. I enjoy those elements & doing so with my brain shut off to just see what happens. The mistakes and the imperfect lines with little to no thought of which colors work together properly. Just grabbing at Sharpies and grasping at straws of sanity. I still have nothing figured out & am entering just another year for just another man who caretakes memories, moments, & mementos which will outlive me. And that's okay. We can't all be smashing our goals & accomplishing great or even meager deeds every day, year, or lifetime. Still we persist, we try, and we care. A weekend covered in ice & hiding inside. Just trying to chip away at what I can while being sick. I guess mother nature picked a perfect weekend for it, but still. I think I'll document this mask more & more as it decays, although I do love the decay of George & other objects around the sculpture garden sections. by @justanothercaretaker

Naïve-TeaOnce again, I have so many choices of naïvely done works in my caretaking, but these ones just seemed right as parallels to each other & not just as colors.<> Child's made mug. I usually put soda tabs in it. Volume wise you can't put a lot in there, but at 4.5" T × 4.375" W × 3" D, you fill it with whatever you like. $25 + S/H.<> A horse man. 7" T × 3.125" W × 2.5" D. A good crack along his belly & at one point his head broke off. Clearly this affects the value but I think the uniqueness still shines through. $60 + S/H<> A showgirl (in distress or celebration?) I have posted this 16" × 20" a few times before & I really am fond of her but she deserves better than being in my stacks, so accepting offers especially since some rhinestones or beads are missing & the front of the canvas has imperfections/blemishes intended or otherwise. $DM<> 16" × 20" undated but signed "♥️KID". I'd like to think it was a child painting their mother (or Aunt) resting on the edge of the pool. Love the inclusion of what must be makeup on the woman & the attempts at detail around the pool. And what happened at the neck? Removal of a necklace? Who knows. If you'd like it, let me know because I'm getting used to it. $DM<> The tea of course... Hand-painted Japanese Lusterware from the 1930's showing off Birds & Cherry Blossoms. 2 of the teacups have heavy crazing, 3 of the medium and small plates are faded & 1 of the big plates has chips. Also one chip to a creamer pitcher, but an extra to spare. I've seen price ranges from $35 - $120, so honestly I'd rather trade it & not ship. EmbraZen + Rockin' On & Off= I have no clue. Not the mashup I expected.But I guess a lot of us get the on & off again relationship with family. Hot & cold, flipped like the switches & rocky/wobbly. Now maybe that explains some of my choices. For your consideration. Just DM with interest or to negotiate price/trade.<> A solid sculpture of an assumed father & daughter. 7.75" T × 9.125" W. × 4.5" D. The flecks of white aren't chips but little bits of something sticking to the piece. There are 2 scuffs & imperfections in the process but I don't think they detract from the overall beauty of the piece. Heavy at 7 lbs 4.8 oz, so please bear in mind shipping costs, which is partially why I'm only asking $100 + S/H. I wish I knew more about it, because I'm sure it's worth a fair bit more. <> The wedding photo of Vilma at 16 y/o & Jack at 18 y/o on February 18th, 1949. Framed at 11.625" × 13.75" & apparently redone on April 10th, 2013 (maybe after one or both had passed away?), it's always such a shame to see these at thrift stores. I try to buy them when I can to save them from being thrown away or for someone just to reuse the frame. My asking is a little higher than most in my collection because of the frame. $40 + S/H. I couldn't make it 49 for the wedding year, but if you like it, let me know & we can work something out.<> A sampling of the carved & decorative eggs in my collection. I have another 3 similar & more besides that, but I won't sell them all. With thanks to @findit1st , they were identified as Kenyan Soapstone. If you'd like to see the others, just ask. <> The on & off in the vignette theme always had to be just a handful of the switches in a box I acquired a few years ago. There are literally hundreds of these & several dozen plugs that were used for train sets. I have no idea what to ask for the box because I always imagined using them in a sculpture. See-King Sol(i)tudeThe see-King idea came this weekend during services & seeking salvation -> seeking sal(i)vating -> see-King -> combining with my idea of "Somber Solitude". Mashing up my own ideas as I sit with them.Not too many stories to share today, except the obvious. Please DM with offers, to negotiate prices, or to request more photos.<> Just acquired in November is this odd speaker. 5.25" T × 2.75" at the Widest. There might be a hint of a signature on the bottom, but I can't decipher it. Minor paint loss. Not glazed ceramic. Modeling clay with paint on top if I had to guess. $40 + S/H<> Carved female bust acquired from @folkartandantiques & then before from @dennisraleighantiques . I've had her for 2 or 3 years & it's probably time she moved on. 8.5" T × 5.5" W. Heavy wear to the top of her head & no signature/date that I can see. Asking $100 + S/H<> 10.5" T × 4.5" W Wooden Haitian fieldworker by unknown carver. Although likely just a souvenir, this one spoke to me. If it doesn't sell, that's okay with me, but I can't go lower than $20 + S/H on here. Just doesn't seem right. <> The King in question. He has risen & lost his feet in the process. 18" × 24" canvas in a 1" × 21.5" × 27.5" solid frame. Framed in NJ but I'm not sure if H.G. was from there in '05. Just conjecture, but those colors are lovely. Asking $125 + S/H, which I think is half my first ask. Can't go too much lower except in person.<> 24" × 32" canvas board portrait. Unsigned, undated, & a little beaten up, but those colors & that face! One of 3 in my possession by the same artist. And honestly, this is my favorite even with the blemishes. The board is a little bowed too from improper storage, but you can fix that up with weight & a decent frame. Asking is $250, but I'd bundle her with a few other folks in my caretaking for cheaper.
