Today I fly home, not even sure I can call it that anymore. Because leaving my place, my person here in England, hurts even more than I knew it would.
For the better part of 3 months, we have indulged in being together. Blissfully avoiding the reality that this would have to end. But we knew it would.
In a cruel way, that’s what made us love harder, hold each other tighter and make every moment magic, creating a life together that feels impossible now to leave.
A part of my heart shattered tonight as I walked onto that plane, and although it just about broke me, it’s going to take a lot more than being born in different hemispheres to break us.
