I recently worked with a teenager who was looking to elevate his football game to the next level. He was starting trials at some big clubs and needed some help keeping his anxiety at bay. We worked on some techniques he can use before each game and each training session. In the past few months his game has improved immensely and he is focused and centred before each game. He uses the tapping techniques to set up a positive mindset before each game and training session.

Can’t wait to see him tapping before his England games one day 🙏🙏

I’ve been on and off to talking therapy since I was 18. And whilst it had its uses, it wasn’t until I started EFT that I really started to clear that deep rooted trauma and those blocks that were holding me back.

Talking therapy is great, but it’s not easy, in fact sometimes it’s really hard. Many people, me included can’t get to the crunch of the problem because they don’t actually know what the problem is - it’s not easy to talk about it when you aren’t sure what it is.

EFT works with the feeling in the body which means - we get to that issue quickly and we can also release it quickly. Here are some ways in which EFT differs from talking therapy. Let me know if you wanna talk more about it 🤪

Here’s a quick intro to the tapping points in EFT. I’ll do another one demonstrating the technique in full but for now here is your starter for 10.

This technique works with any level of need from large trauma to setting yourself up for a good day.

Tapping through the day 🌿✨

We often think we need an hour-long wellness routine to de-stress, but real nervous system regulation happens in the micro-moments.

No one has extra hours to build new routines. So just stack micro-moments of regulation into your day:
☕️ While the kettle is boiling
🚶‍♀️ On the way back from the gym
🚗 Stuck in traffic
💻 Right there at your desk
🌙 In bed before sleep

For me, it’s tapping, just a bit when I can. But for you it could be box breathing, or some stretches. Find something that works to keep your cortisol levels down so you don’t feel fried and burnt out. Or ready to explode!

This week is always full of anniversary’s for me.
- 20 years ago on the 8th October 2006 I started a business that became quite a thing. It led to books, TV and lots of fun filled adventures.
- 5 years ago on the 6th oct 2021, I fulfilled a life long and hard worked for dream of getting my 1st Dan.
But the biggest anniversary that happens today…
- 15 years ago today I gave birth to a human with the thickest head of hair and finally understood why I had such bad heartburn.

All of these journeys have been a mix of highs and lows but motherhood is the one that redefined me. As Forest Gump says about life; motherhood is like a box of chocolates, you’re never quite sure what you are going to get.

What I got was a child who defied the rule books and refused to grow up quietly. But with the state of the world as it is, I’m glad she has a voice and that she’s not afraid to use it.

Go child… be loud…be angry… and change the fucking work 💪💪💪💪

One of my children lives deeply within her fear, it’s like a weighted comfort blanket that she can’t get out from under. I used to run at my fears like they were bulls to be tackled. But as I get older the fears are creeping in. So determined to show my daughter and my old lady self, that fear can be challenged - I did a scary thing. It’s not pleasant to admit, but my house used to feel like a warzone.

I would dread waking up to face the battles of the day. Someone was always shouting, always upset, or always angry.

Turns out, we had a neurodivergent child we just couldn’t understand yet. But even when we got that piece of the puzzle, it didn’t mean all was calm.

Raising kids is HARD. Even without an additional level of need.

In today’s world, we’re trying to be calmer, more compassionate parents than the ones we had growing up. On top of that, we’re trying to heal our own trauma—not to mention manage careers, perimenopause, ADHD diagnoses, and stay healthy through it all.

Parenting from a place of calm is harder than ever—but it’s also more crucial than ever.

Our kids navigate huge emotions. We need to be compassionate, understanding, and grounded so they can learn to process those feelings.

August has been full on family time and festival time. There’s been
- jousting
- Dancing in very parched fields
- Eclipses
- Holiday
- Exhibitions
- Bouncing on trampolines on the trees
- Zip wires
- Sea swims
- And a whole lot of avoiding the heatwaves

We are different from most families in September as there isn’t a “back to school”celebration. I don’t get the relief of not having the kids at home.

But I am looking forward to a different routine, a shift in gears and also the cooler weather. 🙏

Lots of tapping, lots of being zen in the MBZ space and lots of fun with friends old and new.

I really enjoyed being part of the mental health panel and recognising that brushing my teeth can be classed as a win! And felt very honoured to be able to introduce tapping to so many people.

Life has been a little up and down of late. So I’ve decided to challenge myself and walk UP to the roof of the Royal London hospital and then abseil DOWN for the @londonsairambulance

As a resident of east London I watch the helicopters go back and forth and everytime I think about the lives they are saving, and the families they are saving from heartache.

It’s a very underfunded service yet so vital.
