TLC Yoga teacher Missy @iammissygoss and @gatewayctr student James are here to remind you to practice hands in Namaskar position today. I'm so happy they chose hands at the heart so we can see their beautiful faces. Remember you can try this with hands at the forehead for a few breaths then at the center of the chest for a few breaths. Maybe try to notice the effects of both positions. Hands together in Namaskar, also known as Anjali Mudra, is a useful tool for connection. Whether it's connecting to your breath, connecting to your inner awareness, connecting to a higher power or connecting to one another....this hand placement allows us to pause and take a moment to honor our bodies, our minds and each other. Welcome to the TLC Yoga team, Missy, and big thanks to you and James for participating. by @justflowellness
And that’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone who showed up for community wellness in SWATS through our Candlelight Flow outdoor yoga series. Yoga as a tool for healing and social justice is near and dear to my heart. While yoga is for everybody, most classes offered in Atlanta are available on the North and East sides of the city. You shouldn’t have to leave your community to reap the benefits of yoga — cultivating awareness, regulating the nervous system, and more. Thank you to @givebackyoga @gaiam for supporting our work at @justflowellness to meet people where they are with affirming and accessible yoga, and allowing us to continue popping up in third spaces across Southwest Atlanta. Now, with more mats in hand. 🙏🏾 by @justflowellness
