A nice match win with 27lb 1oz .
Had a few bonus fish but the last hour spent fishing against the dam wall gave me 10lb of chub which sealed the deal .

Well back on the e reservoir today , was supposed to be on the LAA river match but due to the river level it was called off.
Decided on the road bank for a change .
Set up 2 rigs ,a top 2+1 and an 11m line fishing 10.00 and 2.00
Fed the 10.00 I clock line with 1 tightly squeezed balls laced with casters the 2.00 was fed with a smaller ball containing fluro pinkie
It was a slow start and the caster line failed to produce.
Decided to stay on the pinkie line and began to put a few chub in the net .
Once sport had slowed I decided to ping a few , this bought a nice run of Roach and 1 crucian , first of the year
Ended up with 9lb 7oz . Fished 4 hours
John managed 6lb 7oz .

With the rivers up again, it was back to the reservoir.
Simple approach, 1 rig at 11m , left hand side few positively and the right hand negative.
The mix was 50/50 F1 sweet and sonubaits Dark roach .
This was mixed to match the colour of the bottom.
I like this mix , it has a sweet caramel smell ,with the water being very chocolatey you need something to pull the fish in on a big expanse of open water .
It took a good while to get my first fish , this was on the negative line , a small nugget after every fish was the way to go .
Managed over 8lb of pristine Roach .
