If you read the article in my link you seen this picture. I was 15 yrs old locked up at the Ingham County Juvenile Facility. I used to hate this picture but now I’m grateful I have it. As a reminder, that this too shall pass. This is where it all started. This is why I have to help the kids that are where I once was. If only back then I had someone to believe in me, I wonder where I’d be now? But then again.. Spent time with 10 amazing young men (ages 16–19) at the Methodist Children’s Home Society Independent Living Program in Detroit. We laughed, connected, and started an intro session to CPR and AED use.

The TV wasn’t working, so I couldn’t show the official American Heart Association videos but we still made it count. Because they’re in foster care, I couldn’t show their faces, but the energy and willingness to learn were powerful.

I’ll be back in two weeks to continue building with them. Thank you to everyone who donated, your support made it possible for Redemption to provide all the CPR equipment! @mchsmi
