Joshua Puckett✊🏼
President & Co-Founder | The Justice Forward Caucus

Joshua Puckett brings nearly three decades of lived experience within Michigan’s correctional system together with nonprofit leadership, community organizing, behavioral-health expertise, and business education. After returning to the community, he committed himself to transforming lived experience into organized action, with a focus on justice-impacted communities, returning citizens, youth, recovery communities, and historically underrepresented voices.

Puckett is also President & Founder of Trauma Aware Resilience & Restorative Pathways (TARRP), where he develops programs focused on restorative practices, trauma resilience, civic engagement, youth development, reentry, and behavioral change. His work includes The Power of the Grind, the Civic Engagement Training handbook, the Cognitive Gang Intervention Program, and the Family Reunification Program.

Professionally, Puckett serves as Outreach Manager and Certified Peer Recovery Coach with the Recovery Action Network of Michigan (RANMI), leading community outreach, partnerships, public education, programming, and peer recovery support. He previously worked with Friends of Returning Citizens (FORC), helping returning citizens access employment, housing, services, and community resources.

A graduate of the Detroit Actions Game Changers Fellowship, Puckett has additional training in trauma-informed care, adverse childhood experiences, motivational interviewing, mental health, substance use, restorative justice, and reentry.

He is also a senior at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business, pursuing an MBA specializing in Global Supply Chain Management—combining business strategy with community leadership to build stronger infrastructure for advocacy and social impact. by @justiceforwardcaucus

leader, advocate, and returning citizen committed to building
businesses, creating opportunities, and strengthening his community.

He owns EKI Fence Guy LLC, Da Beauty Kit LLC, and Mr. Flatbed Towing
LLC, and is a founding partner of N Tha Vision** Media** and N Tha
Vision** Safety and Compliance**. His work reflects a commitment to
economic empowerment, self-determination, and creating pathways to
success.

As a returning citizen, Elroy understands the importance of second
chances, accountability, and meaningful opportunity. He uses his
experiences to help others overcome barriers and contribute positively
to their families and communities.

Elroy serves as a Director on the Board of the Forward Justice Caucus,
with staff responsibilities focused on community outreach and
engagement. He connects with community members, elevates their

Meet Christia Cochran — a community-minded leader, entrepreneur, organizer, and advocate committed to turning ideas into action and creating spaces where people feel supported, connected, and empowered.

As Chair of the Logistics, Member Experience & Operations Committee, Christia helps ensure that the work of Justice Forward Caucus moves from vision to execution.

Her work within the Caucus centers around logistics, operations, event execution, member experience, hospitality, and organizational coordination. From preparing spaces and managing supplies to supporting meeting flow, welcoming members and guests, and helping coordinate initiatives behind the scenes, Christia helps build the infrastructure that allows the movement to function effectively.

But for Christia, logistics is about more than making sure everything is in place.

It’s about people.

It’s about creating an environment where members feel welcomed, valued, informed, and prepared to participate in the work.

Her leadership reflects a simple belief:

A movement is only as strong as the people, relationships, and systems that hold it together.

Through her work in business, workforce development, community initiatives, and organizing, Christia brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach to building solutions that serve the community.

Roxanne Foote ✊🏽

Roxanne Foote is a community advocate, entrepreneur, media professional, and Treasurer of the Justice Forward Caucus. Her work centers on criminal justice reform, civic engagement, community empowerment, and expanding access to resources and opportunities for underserved communities.

With a professional background spanning public relations, human resources, media, event production, business development, and nonprofit leadership, Roxanne brings both grassroots experience and organizational strategy to her advocacy.

Throughout her work, Roxanne has helped secure and generate more than $200,000 in combined funding and revenue, including approximately $20,000 in corporate and community sponsorships and $40,000 through fundraising efforts across multiple organizations, including her own initiatives. The remainder has been generated through business funding, revenue development, and monetization strategies. Her experience includes building partnerships, developing community initiatives, producing events, and turning ideas into sustainable opportunities for organizations and the communities they serve.

Roxanne is the Founder of the Lift Every Voice Foundation, Partner of N Tha Vision Media Group, Owner of Sirens Media Group, and Founder of The Metaphysical Temple. Across these platforms, she has worked to amplify community voices, promote positive representation, connect people with resources, and create spaces where advocacy, entrepreneurship, media, and community development intersect.

Through her role with the Justice Forward Caucus, Roxanne is committed to strengthening connections between communities, organizations, resources, and decision-makers while ensuring everyday people have greater access to the information and opportunities necessary to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Blake Edward Lindsey is a Detroit-based entrepreneur, multi-craft tradesman, and community advocate serving as the Chairperson and Founding Director of the Justice Forward Caucus. Grounded in a commitment to policy reform, economic mobility, and workforce development, Blake directs the caucus’s strategic initiatives to dismantle systemic barriers and build sustainable pathways for justice-impacted individuals and underrepresented communities.
With a background spanning vocational trades, job development, and peer support—including experience with the Center for Employment Opportunities and serving as an ambassador for the Voting Access for All Coalition—Blake bridges hands-on grassroots advocacy with corporate logistics. As the CEO of BBB Consultant and Staffing LLC and founder of the No Excuses Initiative, he leverages trade education, workforce pipelines, and civic engagement to drive long-term community restoration and economic empowerment. Through the Justice Forward Caucus, Blake works to ensure that policy reform is paired with actionable economic opportunities for lasting change.
