POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
This year has felt so much like the last slide: a banner of love over us. As we reflect on what these 365 days have been, our unanimous answer is that it’s been beautiful, truly beauty-filled. How fitting that God’s word declares that “He makes everything beautiful in its time,” and in this He has indeed (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Tonight we reread our vows and realized that much like the act of putting pen to paper, each day after the “I do” requires an intentional commitment. The same energy and careful consideration that went into the choice of napkins, flowers, and meals, is the same intentionality that has led us to the here and now. In short, “I do” is a declaration made in the present tense, meaning that it is a promise to be cared for like a present and committed to in each present moment. Love you, Morrison, here’s to year two, here’s to another year of “I do.” 💍🫶🏾🥂

Provision for the position.

I’m learning that when God places you somewhere, He’s already considered who He made you to be.

Your experiences, your gifts, even the parts still being developed.

You don’t always have to become someone else to meet the requirements of where you’re going.

Sometimes you need to trust that who God made you to be is enough for where He’s placed you and He’ll develop the rest along the way.

This winter, find someone who sharpens you.

Someone who challenges your thinking,
calls you higher, tells you the truth.

And expects you to do something with it.

“A person with a why can withstand almost any how”. - Nietzsche

Growth doesn’t always happen day by day or follow a linear path. More often, it happens in stages.

Then, in what feels like a defining moment, you realize, you’re not the same person anymore.

God isn’t only preparing the things we’ve prayed for; He’s preparing us to receive them.

Refining our character. Deepening our faith. Teaching us patience.

Sometimes the greater work isn’t changing our circumstances.

It’s becoming who God wants us to be while we wait. by @justin.e.morrison

“Lean not on your own understanding.”

I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately.

There’s something deeply human about The Odyssey: spending years trying to find your way home.

And maybe that’s part of our journey too.

We plan. We calculate. We search for signs. We try to understand exactly how every chapter connects.

But eventually, faith asks something harder…

Trust God before you understand the route.

At some point, getting “home” requires surrendering our obsession with knowing exactly how we’ll get there.

Home isn’t necessarily a place.

It’s becoming who God called you to be, doing what He entrusted you to do, and arriving where obedience has been leading you all along.

Maybe we don’t need the whole map.

Just enough faith to take the next step.

Hard Convos Part 1:
A recent tough conversation reminded me,
friendship without truth is only proximity.

Hard Convos Part 2:
There’s a real skill in staying present when the conversation gets uncomfortable and silent when necessary. Not filling the air with words that soften the blow, just genuine silence so whatever needs to be felt, is felt.

Hard Convos Part 3:
Sometimes growth requires a pause, giving truth time to be processed. You don’t need to say everything all at once.

Take a break… change venues …

Hard Convos Part 4:
The gift of tough conversations isn’t getting things off your chest or conflict, it’s the opportunity to grow.

Hard conversations with the ones closest are tough, but truth pays dividends in freedom. by @justin.e.morrison

For all the hopeless romantics out there … 🤎

Date nights are still important.
Not because something is wrong.
Not because the relationship needs fixing.
But because good things need tending too.

Life gets busy, routines take root, and work attempts to take center stage.

So to keep things healthy and vibrant … fellas making the reservation.
go on the walk.
Sharing the meal.

Our God given relationships don’t grow by accident, but by intentionality and some good ol’ fun.

It’s Friday y’all.

As I navigate life, career, and calling, I’m learning that every experience adds clarity to the bigger picture. Every conversation, every win, every lesson .

A clearer picture of what I’m called to.

We’re not living for the weekend because each day carries something necessary and of value…

But we’re certainly grateful when the weekend arrives.

Another week in the books.

Praying everyone got a chance to reflect and recharge before we get back to action.

Thoughts on F1 weekend…

Here’s to a summer of being present.
Of enjoying ourselves.
Of appreciating the spectacle without becoming consumed by it.

I can acknowledge the utility of the Colosseum of Rome…and also the utility of Grand Prix weekend.

On one hand, they’re spectacles of human accomplishment.

The drivers, brands, atmosphere.
The thousands of moving pieces and stakeholders surrounding it all.

There’s something impressive about it.

But it also reminds me how powerful distractions can be.

As the weather gets warmer, the days get longer, and life starts feeling lighter, we can’t forget there’s a future version of ourselves relying on us to stay locked in.

To prioritize our health, our relationships, our finances, our own infrastructure.

The balance is to enjoy today without sacrificing tomorrow.

So again here’s to a summer of being present.

Enjoy the games.
Just don’t forget to build your kingdom too.
