It’s always about the people you meet along the way,,

no matter how cool and crazy the place, my best memories have always came from the shared experiences I had there.
Start the conversation,
play with local kids,
Be curious and kind.
If your willing to put yourself out there
you’ll find beautiful people everywhere🫶🏻

Officially saying farewell to the grass..

I owe a lot of thank you’s to those that got me to where I am in this sport. My parents, coaches, friends, those watching from a far, it took a lot of people to believe in me to get to where I am, and I owe everything to them.

From a kid that loved track and only did cross country to stay in shape and get better for the oval, to now someone that years later fell in love with the uncertainty, the grind, the failure, and the joy that comes with the pursuit of it all.
you learn a lot in 5 years… and i realize i had a lot animosity towards the injuries and struggles early in my career but eventually you figure out that it’s always been about the journey, and what’s important is how far you’ve come.

Running is very much an individual pursuit, but cross country allows you to flip your mindset to the team first. It forces you to rely on, and believe in those you get to share the line with, and together chase an overarching goal.
It’s 7 individuals running their own race, but doing it for the name on the front of the jersey, for 1 team score.
i’ll never take for granted the role i got to play on the Penn State cross country team, and doing all that I can to make myself and those around me better, so i owe a thank you to all the guys that gave purpose to the pursuit.

Everyone always hopes for the story book ending,
but sometimes life happens, and it doesn’t go the way you planned. Although if there’s one thing i learned from an old ball coach it’s that when you strike out you’ve got two choices…
never step back up to the plate,
or get back up there and keep swinging.
i’ll never stop swinging

This chapter might be closing but the journey as a whole is far from over, I’ve got big goals for the track in ‘26 and an even bigger motivation to get there

I’m extremely grateful for everything cross country has given me over the years, even when i didn’t enjoy doing it, but i’m proud to say i fell in love with it along the way.

It takes big swings to hit homeruns…
back on the track 🔜✌🏻

(there’s many more not pictured that i owe just as big of a thank you too🫶🏻) by @justin_healey22
