They said it has been the best summer of their lives.
That sweet, fleeting chasm of time between limited responsibilities and before lives away from everything they’ve known.
They made memories in Mykonos, saw Calvin Harris in an Ibiza club, bar hopped in Barcelona with their Santa Barbara boys and sweat their way through meals in the Marais.
They stayed out late and slept in late.
They were sat at the crappiest tables and invited to the best ones.
They were overcharged, over served, over sunned and over drawn.
Their friendships solidified into bonded travel companions.
They know how lucky they are. (And lucky that I didn’t tell them one hundred times how I spent my summer before college).
