Super fun and wonderful evenings at the @gardenstatefilmfestival with the amazing cast and team of @beggarmanmovie So pleased with how this film turned out and looks, it packs a punch and makes a statement about homelessness, war, disenfranchisement and capitalism and I am truly thrilled to be one piece of the large Beggarman puzzle. Special thanks to @frankiemontero , @lennythomas , and @mgrossman215 and congratulations to all! Also happy to say I got to see @bernardobarreto_swaraj ‘s moving film The Ballad of a Hustler at the opening gala co-starring @kyleklaus and @drewmoerlein - a film that is an expose on immigration and abandonment. #gardenstatefilmfestival #indiefilm #actorlife #filmfest #redcarpet #actingrole #beggarman #performingarts #ilovemovies #actresslife @thejasminedavis by @justinesharrison

One of the last songs my dad ever made up about my niece and brushing her teeth. I think this was about Savannah who’s now 15 but may have been about Violet who’s now 12. Dad/Bob was always a master with the guitar or piano and making up lyrics on the spot. He had at least two other songs he wrote about Violet and Savannah. I wish he could have written a song about Elijah!
Also a lot going on in this photo - the old house, photo of Grandma (his mother) in the background and @moms_not_here ‘s old awesome late pup Ozzie da snarfy nug also makes his appearance! #daddy #music #loveyou #rip #dauchshund by @justinesharrison

Thank you for those who attended the @goldendoorfilmfest screening last weekend. We definitely didn’t want to limit the episode to one screen. So here it is online!

With 4th of July is coming up, there are thoughts about freedom. Definitely there are many issues systematically about freedom, especially in regard to gender-based violence that is related to a woman’s freedom to walk safely on the streets, but they don’t own ALL our freedom.

Within what we can control, we can choose. We can choose to be resilient and we can choose to be free. Many times it doesn’t feel that way but here’s a little reminder there is some choice there, hidden under all the hurt. Don’t forget what has happened but you are free to not let whatever happen take you down…

As always thanks for those who worked and helped out on it.

This Saturday, June 27th, Episode 3 of Women Walk Home Alone @womenwhowalkhomealone will premiere at Golden Door Film Festival @goldendoorfilmfest in Jersey City!

Soon after the festival it’ll be available online to stream

Walking home alone doesn’t have to signal fear, it can be a sign of independence, empowerment, and freedom. To all the survivors out there, whether you were betrayed by a system, a stranger, or even a friend— we see you and you are not alone. And we’ll get through this together.

Thank you for those who supported us in this journey and can’t wait to share the film to the world.

For those who would like to catch the screening in person, buy tickets through the link in bio.
