WE DID IT 🌺🌊

This was the first year I participated in the @bencarlson_foundation Ben Did Go channel crossing paddle from Avalon Catalina to Newport Pier. It was a lot harder than I expected. There was definitely times of doubt, reflection and perseverance. It would be lying to say I didn’t struggle. But we didn’t give up on the goal that was set. I have a new found respect for the ocean. You don’t realize how small you are until you’re in the middle of it. Thank you to @mark_schulein_passion_project for pushing me to the very end.

Yessaahhh!

I spoke to @hnlxjosh right before he picked partners and told him we’d make a killer team. Two minutes later the dream team came to life. Was stoked to be back this year after missing 2025 due to injury.

Moto day was sick, we had our work cut out for us but didn’t stand down and just continued to pick through the field.

Surf day, even more sick. I chose to ride a 7’4” just to score any points I could and left it up to @hnlxjosh to deliver and boy did he ever. He can run with the best of the best on a board and I was honored to have him carry the weight.

2nd overall on the weekend. 1st in pro surf division. Next year we’ll be back for more.

Shout out to my family, the Albrechts, and @motocrossactionmag for allowing me to compete. Things have been looking up lately, let’s keep the ball rolling. On to Big Bear GP next week. Cheeeee! taken in Trail 6 - San Onofre State Beach by @justinlee

Two days of surf/moto cross over! @srfrx

MXA’s @justinlee ended up with a win in the surfing portion of the competition along side his partner @hnlxjosh and their 10-1 two day overall result landed them second.

Overall this is one of the most fun events of the year. @jalbrecht83 puts in a lot of effort to get everything set up and bring everyone together. We thank him for the dedication and passion of the two sports. taken in Trail 6 - San Onofre State Beach by @justinlee

Stoked to take home the Pro Surf Day win on Day 2! 🤙🏽

Huge thank you to everyone who puts this event together. It’s something I look forward to every year, and I love that it’s all about having a good time, competing with good people, and making new friends. The amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes is incredible, and it definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thank you @jalbrecht83 @dan_mcg @cameron_steele16 and everyone else who helps make this event happen. Wouldn’t be possible without you guys!

And a big thank you to all the sponsors for continuing to support the event and all of us who get to be a part of it.

Day 1 was definitely a battle. Got lucky and pulled myself a talented, multi-sport human 😮‍💨 @justinlee , almost managed to grab the holeshot again, but thought I was clear and let off just a second too early, giving @ryderguest_ the opportunity to sneak it at the last second. I went down on the double after the second turn and went from 2nd all the way back to 28th (dead last 😅).

Justin and I charged through the pack (mostly Justin 😂) and managed to finish 10th overall, with a 6th in Moto 1 and a 12th in Moto 2.

Then came Day 2… and we were able to put together a solid surf day and work our way all the way to the win! Stoked to finish 1st on the day and 2nd overall in the Pro Division.

So grateful to be a part of this event and to share it with so many awesome people. Already looking forward to next year! 🤙🏽 taken in Fox Raceway by @justinlee

The @procircuit78 built YZ250 is back in action today as we further testing. If you can remember this bike was built with the full factory race spec engine including polished head and Pro Circuit Piston. Suspension has been fully re-valved and includes stiffer springs. Pro Circuit linkage and Factory Champ Stamp head pipe with Ti-2 Shorty silencer.

@worksconnection clutch and perch allowing for easy adjustment and strength. Along with holeshot starting device.

@guts_racing_inc RJ Wing seat in red to bring it all together.

@decalworks kept the graphics clean with the red and white to match the Yamaha 70th anniversary edition plastics. by @justinlee

No cams, no valves, no problems😁😁

Struggled through the weekend with a 24-5 for 13th overall in 25+ but we rebounded in @fmf73 two-stroke challenge finishing on the podium in third. Was one to remember.

Weekend one of @mammothmotocross is done and dusted. I raced in 30 pro and hopping back on the gate after quite some time off was no joke. I struggled on day one as I rode the Kawasaki KX450 and as a two-stroke guy it took some getting used to. The guys over at @procircuit78 helped out a lot with suspension and we got the bike the best it could be come race time.

Day two I hopped over to the GasGas 300 two-stroke and was right back at home. The Mammoth track actually favors a two-stroke bike the only deficit was power on the start and up the hill compared to the 450. We put it in the top ten in moto one but unfortunately a crash took me out of moto two. The worst part was losing my favorite @thormxofficial Aloha gear set as I rag dolled through the bushes.

We get to try again next weekend in 25+ and my favorite class two-stroke.
